What you have to remember is that BDH & other such organisation will put all types of dogs on a so called "Behaviour List" or unit or whatever. Most Lurchers will be on a special condition homing policy just because it is in their nature to chase small fluffy things. So you can bet a good number of them are getting PTS as well every year, trouble is, a doe eyed Lurcher getting the needle wouldnt make for very good P.R. I bet all the letter openers at the mail centres are in early tomorrow to start sorting out the donations

Naaa mate, your entitled to your opinion..... from what I hear, there have been goldfish alive longer than you've had dogs.... Aye thats true, just keep moving them through, best way with dogs

Pay as much as you can afford based on what its worth to you......and dont feel bad about getting something in to see you over untill a pup you want comes along. As long as you do the very best by the animal once you have finished with it. Dont feel you have to be stuck with something you dont REALLY like.....sometimes it takes a long time to find something you get on with. I will most likely cop a bit of flack for that opinion, but thats the reality. Enjoy your hunting, thats the most important thing. Oh, and dont forget....breeding counts!, dont let anyone tell you otherwise

Who has been watching the Bionic Vet? Noel Fitzpatrick is a god!, he fixed a lurcher for me once and the man is a miricle worker. In person, he is a great bloke who knows the criac. Top stuff, well worth watching.

Really interesting to read the lads who took some time and cured the dog of yapping. Fair play to each and every one of you.....I have to admit that I dont have a lot of patience in some circumstances (but then again, some would say I have too much). As with all dogs, you have to make informed judgements and it sounds like it paid off for some of you. Cheers, good reading
