Pay as much as you can afford based on what its worth to you......and dont feel bad about getting something in to see you over untill a pup you want comes along.
As long as you do the very best by the animal once you have finished with it.
Dont feel you have to be stuck with something you dont REALLY like.....sometimes it takes a long time to find something you get on with.
I will most likely cop a bit of flack for that opinion, but thats the reality.
Enjoy your hunting, thats the most important thing.
