I'll call in and see if the manufacturer wants to make it right. Otherwise ill have to drill the broken bolt and replace with some quality hardware. From what I've gathered a lot of the screws and such are Chinese made.
-
One recoil too many it seems. Bolts sheared off and separated the barrel from the stock. Maimed the damn bird and had to send the dog out to retrieve so I could dispatch it by hand. Suppose I'm now in the market for a proper gun.

He's a good dog. Bout only faults are his steadiness and won't crash cover. Doesn't like thickets one bit. I need a spaniel in the kennels
-
Fine shooting there. I've only been getting out a few hours lately myself with this heat.

Less than one week out from the start of upland bird and dove season. Shot a few quail over my GWP this morning on the property. Only just turned 3 this May hoping for some productive hunts this Fall.

Were To Look For The Right Part Trained Gun Dog
Naustroms replied to lurcher man george's topic in Gundogs & Retrievers
Go with a washed out field trial dog from a trainer/kennel known for good dogs and you'll have the foundation for a good meat dog. I'd stay away from the classifieds. Trust me, nothing worse than undoing some jokers "training" -
Pest Control. This young one was offering nothing but its head. Satisfying kill thought I might've lost it in the roost but came crashing down with a final death flap. Remi went in and returned it (not quite to hand)

Hunted behind a friend's two big running Brittanys really hard working dogs and this pair worked beautifully. Never seen a clumber afield.

Head shot from 35 yards out and b*****d was out before even knew what was what

That's a tidy take away. I've got a cocker pup currently in training now

Lol wish I had ferrets to feed. No real work for them in the states so they're just smelly pets here
-
Also I'll add this one for giggles. Wife rescued this one the other day she found with a broken wing while she was feeding the horses. It's got it's own little apartment in her blind squirrel's enclosure

Hammered away at the pigeons today. Unfortunately nothing really worth cutting into no real breast to be had. The two I dropped went to the garden for fertilizer. Nice clean kill through the wing and out the other side of the chest. Piranha pellet made a mess of this one. Another two got nailed up in the roof.

Pigeon are fun to stalk. Never try baiting or decoys so always having to wait in a blind or sneak up on em.

Looks like a nice full bag. Good shooting -
It's a great location and hunting culture. Plenty to keep busy both above and below ground. Ha it's a Benjamin Trail NP2 in .22. Spent less than $250US on it new. Maybe my next step up will be one of those fancy long range kits with the scuba tanks.

Yes actually

The states. Up in the Pacific Northwest I'm generally in the terrier section no fancy high dollar PCP or anything like some of you but there's plenty vermin around the property to shoot so I'll try to post more here.
-
Few more today. None for the bag though as two died in the rafters right where they sat and the other was unretrievable.

Did some thinning out of the flock today after got back from work. They've been using the stables and tractors as their own personal toilet. Shot my humble little break barrel Benjamin NP2 .22 using the Crossman Piranha pellets that I've really been taking a liking to lately. Two were put down in the stable at 20-30yards. One clean kill through the chest but the other was winged and had to be finished on the ground. Tossed em in the compost pile then left the arena for a bit to let the pigeons settle down. Went by the garden/workshed to pick off some Starlings. Never got a c
