  4. Nice one mate thats a very nice looking dog whats the breeding? witton
  5. Obviously you have never seen 2 dogs on a hare, and 3 dogs on a hare there is a huge difference.....2 dogs can work together to box the hare and 3 dogs just end up sliding into each other on the turns and causing the hare to gain on them. It looks a mess and doesn't work......2 dogs is a world of difference to 2 dogs.... Witton
  6. Good luck with it mate If its doing the job then i wouldn't care what the breeding is. Just give it ago, then you can still get out this season.....let me know when your up for another night out and ill come down Witton
  7. It does more harm than good, we have had another dog join in on a course before accidentally....pre ban, and all that happens is the dogs get in each others way on the turns. Id sooner see one dog single handedly miss its hare than see 3 catch it.... Witton
  8. That dogs going to be good.....very good nice one mate Witton
  9. am a teenager but am a bothered am a face....... look...... bothered :clapper: .........wanker witton am a young lad am sticking up for ya no need for the middle finger Sorry mate just a bit pissed off........it seems us teenagers are the ones being hunted, Iv had enough of being stereotyped and put into a box.....purely down to my age I'm just fed up with the way the forum is going and certain members......and the fact that there is 10,000 sheep on the forum all waiting to follow the select thew and take any chance to dive onto the bandwagon....drawn on by long words and
  10. My point exactly, i think the fact that your older put off the dicks jumping in assuming that the fact that im a teenager means that i have certain views just to prove something.....well you all need to get your heads out your arses.....the dog world is changing, it was so different just a year ago. There was a time where 99% of the forum would say that if a dog doesn't make the grade then cull it....and the ones that wouldnt cull wouldnt dream of putting it in a rescue, this forum is imo going down hill. Witton
  11. am a teenager but am a bothered am a face....... look...... bothered :clapper: .........wanker
  12. Sorry to burst your bubble mate but no.....you do no know me so don't assume anything.
  13. Its interesting to see how the fallow vary from area to area, the bucks round my way are a fair bit bigger than that and look more robust.....Its the same with reds some areas they are huge compared to the stags on the open hills. Its surprising how much the environment effects the size. witton
  14. Right mate lets add to the huge fecking problem that is the rescues, now thats really fair isn't it....if the dog isn't upto my standards then i would never even consider expecting someone else to put up with it. There are thousands of dogs stuck in rescue centers the last thing i'm about to do is add to the problem. A lot never find homes anyway and get pts, in many cases rescues are the middle man the end result will very often end up the same anyway. Witton
  15. Welcome to the forum mate Witton
  16. No mate just stating what i would consider, if nothing else worked. I agree i should of included what steps i would take I agree a lot of things can be worked on with a dog but there comes a point where a dog reaches it potential and if its potential is lower than what you want then.....If it hasn't got it init then no matter how hard you try the dog wont do it. I know this is coming away from the issue of yapping but lets say you want a deer dog, what would you do keep adding onto your number of dogs trying to find one that has it init or just give up after say one doesn't do the job? And ju
  17. Your innocent anyway its a stupid law...... just be careful mate
  18. Just get a lamp and get out mate Just try and pick a squatter and walk up onto it with the dog on the slip......as the rabbit lifts slip the dog She how it goes it might click quickly might take a couple of nights but at 2 years old it will soon pick it up Just make sure teh dogs reasonably fit first to avoid injury Where about are you? the best thing to do would be to get out with someone so you cans see how its done Witton
  19. She is about 14 months mate And frank the breeding is there Well bred on the bull side and well bred on the saluki side She has got a lot of potential and she will get her chance very soon. She is doing everything i ask of her up to yet, and now its all down to me....Ill do right by her and put her behind as much gear as possible over the next thew months. I would of liked her to of been a bit bigger, but saying that she is still a nice size and still upto what i want her for. She all being well should made a good all rounder, which is what i wanted.....i want a dog that will do and do well
  20. The way i see it your an arse hole, you obviously didn't bring the dog on right if its yapping. Its brought out in a dog either entered to early or given stupid slips.... pups need to catch or they soon loose heart and become frustrated. If everyone kept and bred from shite the class of lurcher would go down hill, and we are seeing this now. So its either keep shite, pass shite around or put em down. I know which one i would choose.....If i had a dog that was opening up i would hold it back for a thew weeks then give it loads of dropped rabbits, infact id make it so the rabbit couldn't get awa
  21. There is only one way i can see that would stop it and its with a bullet Sorry mate but its either you live with it or........ many good dog men have tried and most have failed...if not all Witton
  22. I decided that id go out for a bit local on the lamp with the pup to see what was about......bad idea The farmer had a go at shooting a fox but he missed so the pup didn't get to retrieve again it was a case of a long shot at a fox that is wise and knows the lamp and where its going Then i took aim at a hare but again missed we are very shite shots round here Never mind tho its all part of the fun that comes with bringing on a pup, there was no rabbits about but i wasn't really looking for them anyway, she picked one up which was alright to say it was about the only one i seen all nig
