Well guys, ive been out trying for a pike a few times now and eventually got my first today. Heres the piccy and a didnt have any scales so feel free to guess the weight.
Pike got put back alive and kicking so once i treat myself to a set of scales am away to see if a can catch him again since its just a small water. A was over the moon with him and even done a victory dance Thanks

Well guys, i decided to go ferreting this morning. I had a wee bit of a long lie, and got up at 8:00am by the time i got the ferrets and gear ready it was about 8:45 when a set of. I was away to do a couple of warrens i know are occupied at my work, but was suprised by the amount of snow there was. Got the burry netted and had a wee cuppa for 15mins.
After the cuppa i put the collars on ma 2 jills then set them to work. I like to keep track on whats happeneing with the locator and 1 fert was at the top half of the burry and the other wee lady was working the bottom. The jill on the top wa
I got my spun poly kit of agouti and he has instructional vids on his website of youtube hes done which are quite easy to follow. Its surprising how easy it is to pick up once youve got the knots mastered !! As they say practice makes pefect !

Hi guys, what do yous pro snaremen use for pegs in the winter. Ive been trying to peg some with snares from trapworks and the pegs keep breaking. Would steal tent pegs be any good. Thanks.

Welcome mate ! Try posting this topic in the airgun section great guys that can help in there. Anyway try going out first thing in morning or just before dark at night, find a good wee hidy place and see if they come out then. You maybe need to wait a while but they should apear. Make sure your groupings are perfect on targets and always go for good clean headshots. Hope this helps a wee bit.

Thanks for replys guys. Hes good on the whistle just not when he picks up scent it seems more inportant. hes got a good nose flushed lots of birds just not wanting him to work to far in front and flushing birds to far away. Thanks
Hi, just a quick question i have the above and every time he gets a scent hes off like a shot and nothing stops him. Eventully he comes back to the recall but thats after 2 or 3 trys. I keep hering people say that dogs go through there teenage years and just wondering if thats whats going on and how to rectify it. Thanks.
Hi guys, im thing about takling some of the munro's here in bonnie scotland. My springer pups getting older now so thinking about giving some of the smaller ones a go around glenshee area. If theres any experts out there advice would be great and some pice even better. Thanks

At what height would yous guys set your snare at on a grass run because ive been looking at this new snaring law and it says at least at 9" under normal conditions and 12" on open ground but these look quite low to the ground to me. any info a tips would be great as im just going to try for the first time cheers.
