    Max you know Greys inside out and I've had a good few over the years myself and seen probably thousands over the years while racing them...I wouldn't say they were exactly greyhoundy but they did have a definite resemblance IMO? If you have a good look at the angulation of their back legs they are nigh on identical to a Grey or Whippet,they carried slightly more robust rib cages and width of chest but I certainly know where your coming from though Max..ATB Andy

    Max I know that the Rambo dog originally was sold to JF in Liverpool for £800 although Vic said at the time to us guys it was £1300...a lot of dollar back then for a fecking mongrel of a lamp dog wouldn't you say? Haha ...ATB Andy

Bulpa was born in 85 and as we know was out of Blue so there was others after him but until what year i wouldn't know? Bulpa mated Cora in 97 when he was nigh on 12 and obviously until Jack earned his stripes a few year later well anything older or the same age as Bulpa would be long gone? Anything even a few years younger by the time Jack was at stud would also be too old by then so it was just a bad time in reality but there wasn't a whole lot i could do abo

    Not that i know of Baz? That Jack i owned had excellent bone structure,wrists and all and he was never lame in his life..he had knocks,bangs and one or two setbacks but nothing ever remotely similar to those old dogs?..maybe summat hereditary in those further back in the breeding?

    That Bulpa dog i owned Baz even as a youngster and i mean not long after starting him away had similar problems,the wrist and metacarple bones leading to his foot were always that sore and swollen that i took him to my local vet back then a Mr Garrett when the dog was hardly 17 month old and he told me to stop doing what i had been doing with him (running him) and keep him as a pet ..honestly if you could of seen him the day after he had run ..his foot was like the end of a baseball bat and he couldn't entertain to put it on the floor.     My lad Frankel works with the son of the chap who owned Conan and we got a look at his pics t'other week ..some really good un's with Conan and Vic's Blue etc:..Conan was pts at 5 1/2 years old it's wrists were fecked,it ran with them bandaged up nigh on every trip...it got to the point it was just too lame and could hardly walk let alone run so the lad had him pts ..shame really but thats the way things go in this game at times..hairyface's last post proves that?     I was speaking with G last week Busher and he had an old bitch with him bred down from Tig..it had seen a wee bit for sure ..Tig himself was a real looker aswell as being a grafter wasn't he?..Lovely dog he was ..aye i'm like yourself Busher when it comes to the old pics ..story behind them all like you say and the history that goes with them would probably just fade away with out seeing them and jogging our memories? ..some don't like em but then again you can please some of the people some of the time but you can't please all of the people all of the time ...ATB Andy.

Them Roe were all just one dog Fred..feck you don't need two on them lol..your in deep shit if you've got two big feck off dogs like that and needed the pair of them to pull one of them ..the hares on the otherhand were mainly the opposite,we were in it for the ££££ and not alot else to be honest..don't get me wrong these dogs all could and did kill em single and on almost every single venture out and not just the odd un either ...
