  1. Feed them plenty of rabbits in fur, get them lots of tubes to run through, try and find someone to go out with. Even worker/worker kits can be rubbish, my two big hobs started out as 'pets' and are pretty good.

Keeps the ferret's mouth shut. Barbaric and unnecessary practice that is only used by idiots who can't handle their ferrets. Doesn't stop a lay up and guarantees death by starvation if the ferret is lost.

All the jills are gone, but might have a hob or two but only to a good home (locator, no muzzles, good care etc)
  4. Best not to do it, even if it works out physically there could be hidden defects that get passed on unwittingly in the future. There's plenty of ferrets out there, always possible to get a line from a mate's hob in my opinion.

Fair enough, but you could have had one of mine (which look darker) for the price of a maccy's on the A55 (because if I was driving to meet you I'd want a breakfast out of you!). Difference is that I know that mine are off a mint jill and a bloody good hob whereas you might have parted with hard earned for something you know nothing about. It's entirely up to you if you want to chuck your money at a peddler, but there's enough experience and knowledge on here to call you out if you post showing it off. You may feel you've been treated harshly, but it's important that this type of sh*te is j

Wouldnt pay that for a ferret!!!! How do you know you didn't...? I've got 10 kits that look just like your "polecat", you need to accept that you've possibly had your eye wiped. Mine are going free to my ferreting buddies and those I know will give them a good home.

You can have this one for £45 LOL
  8. I get £1.50 Plus a lot of my ferreting is on company land and I can book mileage and out of pocket expenses. I wouldn't dream of giving up the bill paying job though.
  9. Most of the places that are prepared to pay will already have contract arrangements in place. Far better to find a local pest firm that would take you on for rabbit jobs.
  10. If you have multiple accounts you are a troll and do not belong here. Have another set...
  11. Romeo, from now on I shall endeavour to reply to every one of your posts in a manner befitting them. They say a picture is worth a thousand words so:
  12. She'll eat the dead ones to re-ingest the goodness she's wasted by developing them...
  13. Is somebody who humanely dispatches a trapped ferret/polecat more or less moral than the the idiots who dump, abandon or lose theirs?
  14. You've already admitted having multiple accounts but you still try and troll with this one...
  15. We have an option to sell dead corvids to a taxidermist because the goths spend a fortune on stuffed crows and stuff. Taxidermy is a legitimate form of art, road kill is one of their biggest sources of stock along with shooting. What is so bad about selling a dead animal that is to be used for artistic purposes? I could see your objection if it was killed to order... It's no different to selling any other animal, you won't get a turn of conscience from me when I sell stuff to a game dealer or pub kitchen.
  16. Is it 'swimming' rather than walking?
  17. I've always put collars on as part of normal play times, although not all the time. You can get pet style stretchy ones with a bell that are used for keeping track of them in a house. It gets them used to the sensation of something around the neck and a bit of weight. Progress from there really. You aren't going to get stung doing too much preparation.
  18. DOC's don't usually have the nutritional value to support growing kits.
  19. Try them on neutral ground, but there will always be a bit of scrapping to sort out pecking order.
  20. How much are the f'kin purple stripey and spotty ones? A good worker works, a shit worker doesn't. Peddler.
  21. Good effort, it's always more satisfying when you make your own. Problem is you will never stop thinking of upgrades and improvements.

No, haven't you been listening. Ferrets are free, sometimes a tenner. "Polecats" are £50. Dark ferrets that look like polecats are also £50, although its impossible to tell the difference so it's a good job that people are honest...
  23. You'll get more info if you do a forum search, there's tons more than we could ever post in one thread and you might miss some real gooduns.
  24. That's some fine whittlin' there boy...
