    Border collie comes to mind. You were saying you train all your dogs to stand and watch another dog lamp without joining in without a lead,untill its its turn,A man of your training skills could train a dog to this standard easy,After all turning of its prey drive is the hard part. I sense a bit of sarcasm .A big risk just to chase rabbits into nets.

    So how do you judge a dog if you cant see it work.? You can't. What really bugs me is that when lads come up against a problem in training or entering, too many just jack it in themselves, blaming the dog. Why don't they make the effort to contact people who know what they are doing and ask for advice? Like happens on here? There are loads of people on this site who are starting out, and they don't seem to be afraid to ask for help or advice, so what is wrong with the muppets who just pass a dog on before it is a year old? Are they too big headed, or ashamed to admit they might not

    iv also toyed with the idea of trying to train a dog up for the task i as i have said elsewhere have used a lurcher now ana gain to clear crop fields whilst netting, but i dont think a lurcher could be trained to e a night time netting dog, or atleast not by me lol i have a few border collies close to hand that i could try it with, but i have just never got round to it, maybe day... lets make ths thread a bit more practicall, an lets hear what yous guys would/or do expect from a dog that works at night with long nets, not a days ferreting with long nets surley carnt be that diffic

    Your very good if you can have 2 dogs of the lead and still only lamp one at a time, Did it for about ten years.Just a matter of training the first dog.Then bringing in a pup. In my expierance no matter how well trained a dog is on its own throw in another dog and one aint going to watch another catch the rabbit and stand still,What happens the rabbit runs bettween the lampers feet the dog not running and of the slip looks the other way Dont think so.You would want robots not dogs.If your doing it stick up a video i would love to see. Maybe i just expected more from a dog.You
