    You need "good reason" for wanting a rifle,especially full bore rifles.If you can find land that has been passed for a .240 calibre rifle or bigger then the police cant really turn your application down.If you cant find land your other option is to go stalking on private estate land with a professional stalker and keep some proof of your days stalking,then apply saying you are going to go and pay for your stalking on private estates!!.I would go stalking more than ounce before i applied to prove i was really keen.

    I dont think anyone knows if T.B comes from billies os cows but theres one thing i do know,theres far too many billies about,they are totaly over protected in my opinion.What we need is a % cull and then if theres any "problem areas", licences issued to local pest controlers to sort the problem out!!!!

    I was told by a mate from a village close to Trimdon that the fella responsible is already locked up and thats why the animals ended up in the state they did.Thats no f*****g excuse though,a phone call is all that was needed!!

    Some sardines in a cage trap under a bridge is your answer then.

    Gang set your traps at any bridges along your trap line.Use "body grip 116s" or "fenn MK6s".Set a trap at each corner of the bridge and you will pick plenty of mink up.It will also pay to set traps higher up the banks as back up sets incase of any floods. I have found that blind sets are by far the most effective and i rarely bait them, but i do keep the soil turned over and fresh out side of the sets which really attracts the mink. Snaring the mink is also deadly and much cheaper if you have to start from scratch!Tie your snares to drags so the mink can dround itself,or he may b
