the dog would do those few miles while going out and looking for the runs it needs to be fit. Also the guys who live around my area who ran and still run the big land have it good. Its moorland, and there is nothing better than to work a dog on rough big uplands to get it fit. Much more demanding on muscles than the flat land(till they get behind something). Also remember that each and every dog is different, and some salukis have weight problems were they cant hold any. And it drops off them with in 5 mins.. Has anyone used the treadmill instead of road work? Ive heard mixed r -

When its a gent or lady judging from the pony background, some of the working people dont turn up and when its a gent or lady from the working background some of the pony people dont turn up. Then the judge finaly turns up and their is still a load of bitchin . Its all part and parcel of the show .

We left home at 6.30am sat morning 1 boat trip, 10 hours, and 22 p**s stops later we arrived at the peaks, great venue and camping area, tryed the dogs at the coursing, good craic completely differnt from back home, no jumps and based on points system, Setup camp about 7pm all going well until my friend BIG IAN descovered he had forgot the feckin frying pan ! so we had spent 50 quid on food with feck all to cook it on! It was at this point we started drinking after knocking on a few caravan doors someone kindly donated a desposable bbq at this stage the beer was starting to flow quite r

On behalf of the club i would like to thank everyone who attended yesterday's show. We pulled out all the stops for this one. This was by far the largest crowd in the last seven years and was helped by the great weather, beer, good food and craic ! Congratulations to all the winners of the open show, the racing and the pulling. Also a great turnout for the NI champion of champions, it was great to see all who qualified in attendance the standard was high giving the judges a very difficult job! Yes big poacherslad. all classes bar the pups and pairs qualify for the finals, dont forget to bring that big fat wallet of yours ! Rumour has it that there's notes in that wallet have not seen the light of day since 1983 ! he was tryin to use white fivers at mine mate hes lookin the big win again after meath see you there top class show Sure he tried to slip the burger man at rathbeggan punts! He was very close from being barred from the show!!

The judging will start at 1pm with the NORTHERN IRELAND CHAMPIONS TERRIER LURCHER AND WHIPPET to follow the open show, well done to all those who have qualified for the championship and good luck, To feed and water everyone their will be a full catering trailer, soft drinks and beverages.Varous trade stands will be in attendance selling hunting fishing and army surplus gear, any more stall inquiry,s welcome and their will be childrens classes bouncy castle and face painting. Hopfully a great dat out for everyone ! The classes we be as follows,

Why dont you bring a tent, packed lunch, beer from lidl, one dog, and put the wife and kids in the dog trailer let them out when you get to the ringside ? i think that's what i will do along with changing me euros for pounds but i dont think she'll be too happy about being put in the trailer I know mate, im gona have to get a bigger trailer its gettin a bit tight for six kids ! :sick:
