    Just advertise the dog as a no papers dog and you will get some one to take it.Size is not that important with a deer dog some of the best are terriers. Most GWP,s are to strong for there own good and very hard to keep in shape on deer.

    Its time my old dog went that long one way walk and he is starting to suffer. The only thing is he hates the vet and i really don't want to take him there and put him on a table to die in the cold clinical room while others out side get there soft pot lickers there first jags seems the wrong way to do things to me. So is it legal for me to take him a walk to his favourite hill and just put him to sleep there my self.

    Deker a Roe head needs to be completely dry mate and it is mandatory to get and Official score that it is at least 90 days. The cic will measure a head younger than that but its not a real score, The reason they do the early scoring i am told is so foreign visitors can get an early assessment. The only way you would get the medal and proper paper work is if who ever took it in for you said it was older than the ninety days needed. But John is correct its a great Roe head and in my opinion needs done correct. Have a look on here there are also the contact numbers for all the CIC chaps incl

    Deker your head was shot in August and will have had a provisional score mate but all you need to do to get it properly done is send it back to the CIC chaps and they will do it again after the 90 days for a proper score . It is a fantastic head and really should be done properly . If you look at a few of the heads in the shooting times Roe Review you will see some saying provisional score (AWAITING THE OFFICIAL).

    Tim to some they are things of beauty but to others they are just the top off a dead animal. I have got three heads on the wall in the hall one of each the rest have went the way of ebay.

    Well it might not be every ones cup of tea but if you shoot a big Roe buck and see his antlers as bigger than average it is nice to see how he measures up against all the other big animals shot around the country.One way to do this is to get it measured officially. The CIC measures are at most big game fairs and will measure any heads put in front of them but only the really good ones will get and award.The awards are in the form of BRONZE ....... SILVER ............ GOLD I put in three heads this year after winning a charity auction from the BDS. Me and my mates got back one gol

    Martin i wish you luck mate not an easy thing to start. Some of mine get processed but most go through a dealer and dealers are paying a bit more now. £1.30 a ilb here

    I think that is a great idea so how was every ones Roe Buck season ?? i say that because were we are after the rut we tend to leave them alone for a while and they fade into the last of the foliage anyway. Just One of the many bucks that was seen this season after a very hard winter i think the roe deer did very well. (surprised)
