  2. Hi mate saw one son ebay for £10 + P&P, shock ones not spray or sonic ones. she is going balistic as I type !!
  3. Has anyone ever used a bark/shock collar ? My terrier bitch is gona get me threw outa where I live, short of f*****g super gluing her mouth shut, I can't get her to shut up, excessively barking. Any thoughts and recommendations as to types and prices please
  4. There will be no problem breeding your jills, the jill-jab will take them off season for that year (ususlly, have had a few come on again just at the end of the breeding season), they seem to be a wee bit tender around the injection area, to be expected, but they come on again next year and are good to go. Have had no problem getting kits from a jill I jagged the year before. Have a cranky stinking hob here, f*****g really bad tempered at the moment, he is lucky I don't have a spare £50 of he would loose his tackle !!
  5. Thats great to hear buddy, my hunting mate keeping saying I choose wrong and should have gotten a whippet, ok for rabbits but we take care of the red fellas quite a bit to, both in North and Southern Ireland, and a whippet would be too light for this I would suspect. We do quite a lot of ferreting though, and not all land owners want us using a gun, so hopefully she will be a quieter answer to the bolters/net escapers. Thanks again for your input.
  6. Thanks rocky1, she sure can eat, seems to grow by the day ! Have her chasing toys, still won't actually bring anything back to hand yet, to busy shaking it. Huge frigin legs and knuckles on her, hoping she doesn't get too big, as she will be a general all round dog for me, mooching, ferreting and supporting terriers.
  7. Got myself a new pup, sire: greyhound/deerhound dam: greyhound/wheaten Pics are of her at 6 weeks and then 8 weeks. Also parents pictured. Can't wait for her to get up a bit.
  8. Nice pics, nice gear. I am a 20 year canon person myself. Keep snapping
  9. From a photographer, these are fab pics. The ducks is particularly well executed. Well done. What gear you use and have ?
  10. Seen it. Why two dogs? Any two mediokers will catch & despatch.
  11. She's doing brilliant mate. Keep it up. I have a greyhound x deerhound (X) greyhound x wheaten pup, retrieves, but not to hand yet, she only 7 weeks though.
  12. DONT'T BREED..........DON'T BREED.........there will be too many kits bred this year also, that will be needing permanent working homes.
  13. JB Nets do fantastic 10oz and cracking 12oz. the 12oz are the best I have ever used for any situation, almost impossible to get tangled.
  14. Was yeeze reckon to a Greyhound x Deerhound crossed with a Greyhound X Wheaten. First lurcher in years, wana make right choice. Mooching, ferreting, lamping, doing cover, helping terriers and as a companion.
  15. Hi, my maths aren't the best at times. Have looked at a nice pup, have been told by the seller whats in her, trying to work out if she would be too bulky/slow. What would be the percentage break down. Dam: Bull x Greyhound Sire: Bull x Greyhound (X) Collie Greyhound Reckion its Greyhound, Bull Collie, in that order. How much of each. Will be for mooching, ferreting and other bigger stuff. Would she be suitable ? Any replies welcome (accept smart asre 'your a doogh head' ones) Thanks
  16. I never have them free running in areas I know rabbits run about. The only skins they get to rag are fox skins. Access the burrow for size and signs of red boys before entering (and other things. And I know the different barks of all my terriers, their guard dog bark is the one heard when at something biting back.
  17. Plenty of ventilation holes.
  18. With all this recession and everything getting more expensive, its nice to know sometimes you can be surprised. You can pick these tool boxes up at Homebase, B&Q or whereever, as long as they are own brand for about a tenner for two. Drill some air holes, fit a strap and you have yourself a cracking, warm, waterprrof, hardwearing carrying box.
  19. Ferrst tend to get too badly damaged or worst. And besides the terriers (I assume you want them dead after they bolt)have to be 110% safe with ferrst as well. Smokers the job, or if you are in hard no poures ground, flood the wee f*****s out.
  20. Pay £15 each. As soon as any swelling appears, gets them done straught away. Never had any problems with this.
  21. These two will put anything out.
