  1. My big dog was in an accident and has lost the use of his right front leg. He's the best dog ive ever owned and have just got a greyhound bitch to put em over before he's pts. Ive spent over £2000 trying to save the use of the leg to no luck. That he only has the use off 3! And i would never keep him unless he could walk or run to his fullest because he loves it so much an it wouldnt be fair on him. So wan't to try get a pup to carry on his line before im forced to do this. Saw a 3 legged lurcher earlier today whilst out with one of my dogs and he was getting about fine (front left
  2. They aren't available, legally .
  3. Shouldn't you have asked/found out before getting the pup?
  4. No need to cut up the chicken. For recipes http://rawfeddogs.net/Recipe/List UK advice http://www.ukrmb.co.uk/showcontent.toy?contentnid=175912 and http://www.ukrmb.co.uk/showcontent.toy?contentnid=175913 and to counter some of the crap put out by the petfood companies and most vets http://www.rawfed.com/myths/index.html
  5. Hi Td, I've been away for a few days. Is your dog sorted now?
  6. Would ring them first thing rather than wait for email reply as its saturday and a bank holiday weekend.
  7. No, Jac, the vet CAN take you to court as you are not paying the FULL amount. The judge may take into account your offer to pay weekly but in no way is it the "loaw" that they have to accept. If what you were saying was true then no'one would ever pay any bills or mortgage or get get sued in the County Court. If you have offerd to pay in instalments then it wont even go to court so stop trying to worm out of it and admit you are wrong . are you a vet ? No, you stupid twat, I'm someone who once thought the same as you, then I ended up with a CCJ.
  8. just been doing some looking around. Try these http://www.budgetvets.co.uk/ in Newport,Abertillery and Porth offer interest free credit. http://www.tailwaggersclubtrust.com/aboutus.html these are a charity who may be able to help with fees Good luck
  9. Doesn't seem right. Have they x-rayed the leg and come back with a definate break?

  11. Remember that you are not taking out a credit agreement with the vet. They can still claim the money owed in the county court whether you offer to pay £1 a week or not. You will end up with a larger debt and blacklisted for 6 years. Not very clever.
  12. Chook If better for the others health, yes. Cannot really understand, one dog you "say" has Colitis but then again this dog has not been to a vets. Another dog "has" to have prescibed chappie for a pancreatic probelm caused apparently from eating raw turkey meat which is a very low fat meat and any fat in it would cause fewer problems than the processed gunk in "prescribed" chappie. By your own admission the only reason you stopped feeding raw was So cost is basically why you do not feed raw. sandymere You seem to say a lot using pseudo science mumbo jumbo without actually sayin
  13. Have you posted on here http://www.doglost.co.uk/page.aspx?pg=72 good luck
  14. No its not and read the f*****g thread arsewipe.
  15. Sandymere, Don't try and cloud the issue with pseudo science, do you think that a dog is carnivore or omnivore? Think about it, dogs are used for hunting because they are good at it, and why are they good at it, because that is how they got their food, and when they caught it they ate, RAW
  16. So why can't you register him? Don't know anything about this but worth a try http://www.bluecross.org.uk/web/site/About...y_Care_Fund.asp
  17. Chook, dogs also ate what they could scavenge and catch themselves. No'one is saying feed all bone or meat, thats why its called raw meant and bones, DOH. Your dogs must be A1, LOL, as you feed them on something that not only do you not know the ingredients of but do not even know the brand. Sandymere, So quite simply is a dog a carnivore or an omnivore? Amazing that on a hunting forum talking about working dogs you seem to think that giving dogs raw is wrong and bad for them.
  18. Good luck. Let us know how you get on
  19. If the cat was on your property what can she report you for, nothing so no need to get rid? If the dog was not on your property, well then you are an idiot who can't control his dog and should be giving it away not trying to sell.
  20. Bloody stupid advice and totally wrong, it is NOT the law that they have to accept installments, and what happens when the dog has to go back for aftercare? Once again totally wrong. Go to the PDSA.
  21. As advised, try the pdsa http://www.pdsa.org.uk/managed/finder.html
  22. Actualy your wrong there, what affects dogs teeth is when people give dogs mainly soft food only, eg, they soak the kibble to much, if you only ever fed raw meat, then your dogs would have bad teeth, what helps dogs teeth is crunching anything thats hard or semi hard, knuckle bones, kibble that has not been soaked, rib bones or marrow bones my oldest dogs have had dry food for what 13 years now, there teeth are fine, all of them get the occasional rec bones or sometimes chicken frames, all except our bruno, who pukes the frames back up again. chook, think about it, if kibble
  23. Nothing wrong with mixing it with lamb bones (try and get the breast ones) and also cheap in morrisons pork shank, value whole chicken/ quarters, liver/heart (not too much liver/heart else can get runs), frozen sardines and have a look at the reduced because almost out of date, picked up some cheap oxtail last week.
  24. You wouldn't feed your kids that because you know it is not good for them, but the dog equivalent you are quite happy to feed to your dogs. which is based on what - whatever the pertfood companies want to sell you.Its not only the food that goes inside, its also the effect on the dogs teeth. A lot of dog health problems stem from bad oral hygiene which is due to the
