well mate we'l have to agree to disagree,i dont know when the last time was you bought any chicken wings, but the ones i get are like toddlers arms,as for choking theyre covered in skin which acts as a padding and usually get crunched up inside that and swallowed,im not saying that accidents dont happen but as with all bones if its small enough to get stuck in the throat then it may do,but touch wood ive been giving mine wings for years and never encountered any probs whatsoever I used to think same re wings (although rmb doesn't recommend them) until patti in picture started choking on o -

Excellent book and diet (my opinion) a hell of a lot better and simpler than barf. Take a look also at For recipes http://rawfeddogs.net/Recipe/List UK advice http://www.ukrmb.co.uk/showcontent.toy?contentnid=175912 and http://www.ukrmb.co.uk/showcontent.toy?contentnid=175913 and to counter some of the crap put out by the petfood companies and most vets http://www.rawfed.com/myths/index.html -
my bullx pup diet any suggestions
kiz replied to matt32's topic in Working Dog Health & Training Talk
Almost the same hymnsheet, chicken wings too easy to choke on, and also not much meat on them. RMB and Barf principles are not the same , barf adds fruit and veg , minced meats and % of this and that. But then again, it is better than processed pap. -

Thats two things I WILL disagree with you on craigy, chicken wings are too small (chicken quarters and up are fine) and I am recommending RMB diet NOT barf. -

pretty much mate, but not so sure of the tripe bit tho correct me if im wrong tho socks analysis of a piece of tripe... discovered that the calcium:phosphorous ratio is 1:1, the overall pH is on the acidic side which is better for digestion, protein is 15.1, fat 11.7 & it contained the essential fatty acids, Linoleic & Linolenic, in their recommended proportions. Also discovered, was the presence of Lactic Acid Bacteria. which is the good intestinal bacteria. It is the main ingredient in probiotics. and because of its rubbery texture, serving it in large chunks also aids the canine
