  1. Just like Christians The majority of Muslims commit their evil deeds in the name of Islam with the support of the majority of their community . When we followed the Yanks into Iraq there was millions of us marching the streets telling the government "not in our name" Why did we not see these peace loving British Muslims do the same after the London Bombings? Why do they not boycott certain Mosques across the country that preach hatred towards the west if they really believe the fanatics are preaching a bogus version of what their loving and caring religion really stands for?

    Poddy the poacher

Definately from Market Drayton, but you are right about happy days.
  9. Sorry mate I should have been clearer. I meant that the paper itself seemed to be based on the Cline paper (almost word for word in places) which was taken out of context in some ways. No, I understood that. Just another case of someone twisting something to suit their own "commercial" ambitions.
  10. In the 70's every now and again Poddy the Poacher would turn up in the paper. The incident I can rememember best was when he nailed his ear (still attached to hs head) to a tree in protest, I think, to do with him being fined for taking badgers. He also climbed on the roof of Shrewsbury jail dresssed as santa with the intention of giving prezzies to the prisoners. Anyone else remember any of his escapades and also was he any good as a poacher?

  12. Think you will find that "Energy and the Working Dog" is a short paper written by Angie Unsitz, who, surprise surprise, just happens to market her own "Glyco-Gen" products containing maltodextrin. http://www.k9energyedge.com/
  13. Before the recent scandal concerning melamine in baby food there was another involving melamine in pet food, added once again to give a false protein level. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2007_pet_food_recalls Food companies use the nitrogen-based compound (melamine) in wheat flour and other products to make these products appear to have more protein. Normally, proteins are the only source of nitrogen in food, so by looking for that element in tests, one can figure out relative protein concentrations. I know exactly what my dogs are being fed when feeding raw, do you actually KNOW what is
  14. Feel for you mate. Had to give up a dog (and broke my bloody heart) in very similar cirumstances earlier this year. Luckily the breeder took her back, is keeping her and is happy to do so. Fingers crossed for you. ATB
  15. Although most people involve the council, there is nothing stopping someone taking a private action in the magistrates court for statutory nuisance. i find that hard to believe you would need money and a good solicitor for that to stand aswell as EVIDENCE, talk is cheap they need big proof deny it all blame the dog down the street and it would be a county court not magistrates its a civil matter Evidence is quite simply a record (the same as the council require) of times and dates. Don't even need a solicitor, speak to clerk of the justices to arrange to have a summons issued. You th

  17. Think that the tube type are basically for frost protection and don't come with thermostats. Is this the type you mean http://www.dealec.co.uk/acatalog/Deal_Electrical__Tubular_Heaters_181.html
  18. Dogs do not need electrolytes as they do not sweat, they thermoregulate by panting. Just make sure your dog has plenty of water. dogs do sweat........they sweat out through there pads !!!!!!!!! and they do lose electrolytes when they pant !!!!!!!!!!! can you please tell me how a dog gets electrolytes from water !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Water has no flavor so it is difficult for most active dogs to consume enough to stay well hydrated. its known that dogs will consume more of a flavored drink than that of just plain water. In addition, water contains no electrolytes and therefore cannot help to r

  20. How many ads are on "selling for a mate/friend"? If they cannot be arsed to join and contribute, why are they getting free advertising, and if you look at the rules for this section 3. All advertisements must be of legal items which are a. the property of the seller
  21. Sounds like patterdales are fairly rare in your neck of the woods, but it makes sense to be on the safe side and maybe wait a little bit longer and get a pup/s you can be more sure of. ATB
  22. If the vaccine was given by a vet then it should have been stored correctly. As "they lost a couple others as well" I doubt very much that they caught it from the vaccine.
  23. By that age the pups should have been vaccinated and therefore protected. Had the breeder said that they were vaccinated? If it was me, I would not have the remaining pup.
