Anyone shoot mink at all? I bumped into a fella who was shooting the same permission as me and he mentioned he gets up early to shoot some mink on one of his permissions, I fancy giving it a go but i've never shot them and wouldn't know where to find them, apart from 'they live near rivers'? Been told there quite vicious . Anyone else had experiance?

Cheers. The solo is okay at the moment, it was pissing me off to begin with, I still am going to buy a barrel band for it tho, if I miss I find myself thinking " was that me or has it been knocked". I definatley will get one.

Just wondering how many dirty magpies youv'e shot recently - This year? I've got 5 so far but not put my full concentration on them. I've decided now that the rabbits are going to be left alone for a bit and i'm going all out for magpies. After shooting 5 in my area there still seems to be LOADS, there really strong in numbers this year, anyone else found this? I cycle to work and its all I can hear

Went out for a shoot Thursday night just gone. Theres a few pics of the place I shoot and what I got, five rabbits. While I was there, it was getting dark and I had no equipment apart from my eyesite - I was stood at the side of some huge nettles, the tops of them were shimmering - as they do when you know youve scared a rabbit off and you see them shimmering away - anyhow - they were shimmering toward me, I got the rifle sighted where it was going to come out - right in front of me! - it came out and - It was a badger cub! Well chuffed to see it. Couldn't get a photo unfortunatley as

with the clicks etc its best to do one at a time, be confident that your not shaking the rifle and see how far the click took it. I normally do a click then shoot a pellet - see result - another click - shoot- click - untill i'm happy. Where i shoot theres a tree felled at standing shooting position height, so I put my gunbag over it, rest the rifle on top and put a paper target on a tree 35 yard away and go from there.
