  2. best to stay away from fence lines and hedges fenn....there loads of badgers around me so i set out on open trails now to avoid accidents.... if you keep your wires set around nine inches off ground will get no badger catches...... i tried using break away devises before they worked ok on fence lines where the fence would act as a bit of a spring and cushion the force on the link,,, but on open runs i had many fox who broke away as i got near them.... they give every thing they got to try to escape but would sit there for ages with out any one getting close to them... another thing with fence

  6. the law is a odd thing at times and a law that must be changed i think... use of spring snares against the law..... so a ram power snare or the likes etc will have you in court... a rat snare on a wand is a spring snare , but that's ok..lol .. and then we have the collorum spring snare that's ok !!!! mad laws made by people with no knowledge or concept of trapping .

  13. Ive tried this system few years ago. nothing new about it and used in the states as a drown system for otter, beaver and even mink in foot holds.. some use them for coyote also to get the captive out of sight as in ditch etc near roads.. i had twp foxes in them. one was it said on the tin ,20 ft out from the fence,,, the second was wrapped up in wire.. they work one way .. so saying a for hits the fence in the direction the cable is set out ,,,, or line wire etc he should go under fence run with snare then at the end of the road come to a stop with no return ... in ideal world maybe..... t
  14. woodga, as you know some couldn't even dream of making things from scratch, just aint the knowledge to even consider making a new product that is cost effective and practical.... not all new ideas work ,but with a few tweaks they can be come successful.. i do sympathies with what you saying and there always be others ready to profit off others.. i be to ashamed to myself but some got no morels at all.
