Dorwest herbs are pretty good get them off viovet and theyre not that expensive either that as Hannah said a decent kibble for a while Royal canin has a decent protein not cheap but good stuff or Skinners mate.If you e mail royal canin and ask them to send you samples they will and a voucher for £15 of a 15kg bag done that with me a while back when i pointed out i had 5 dogs here lol -
It wont kill in 48 hours takes a while for the cysts to grow and seriously infect a dog to make it ill enough to show symptoms.Its painful and as i said earlier its really clear your dogs ill at that point.Could be something else cos even slug pellet poisoning would have given symptoms like sever salivation and being pretty ill in generel along with coughing up blood sometimes.Lungworm looks like phnuemonia at the start.Normal wormers are useless against that and heartworm another slug or snail issue.Its as easy as your dog walking on the road and walking through a snail trail and then licking

Lungworm takes longer than 48 hours to kill though!My dog took ill and was collapsing and coughing up frothy blood and had fluid in his lungs and they treated for lungworm to be on safe side.Lungworm can be passed fairly easy i was told so if you have other dogs treat them with panacur or advocate or millbemax fairly quick anyway just to be sure.There are symptoms with lungworm coughing coughing up froth or frothy blood or mucasy with blood staining and breathing changes.Theres loads more if you google it.I reckon maybe a pm would tell you if you can afford to do it whats happened

I have kids here so its a risk i cant take and would not be willing to take the chance of them being injured or seriously disfugered.I admire you standing by your dog and years ago when it was just me i had several seriously agressive dogs one being a very unfriendly great dane hed been through hell was lucky to be alive when i ended up with him.So people were not his favourite pastime but yet i persevered and kept going till he died at a good old age for a dane but if id had kids i dont think id have done the same

Im sure some friends could provide a decent alibi good luck mate hope you get whoever done it to your dog and give them what they deserve.Just make sure you get it right and be totally 100% you know before you do anything

If it done it for no reason i dont know if i could trust it ever again i have been bitten by my own dogs in the past and wasnt their fault was me splitting a dog fight and got caught.The second time was an alsation of mine years ago she smashed my thumb but again it was my own fault so didnt blame the dog.I am pretty sure well as sure as i can be id pts cos if theres no trust between you and a dog then theres no relationship i cant honestly answer it as ive never been in that scenario.It must be a horrid decision to face or make so in the end did you pts or keep the hound in question?.I trust

If it was one of mine it would have been pts immediately and when my lad done it he was pts first thing in the morning phoned the vets told them it needed done and they didnt argue.Turns out he was ill and had issues upstairs but still no way would i keep a dog that is capable of attacking anyone for no reason let alone a child.That doesnt look like one bite either or a snap thats looks like it was meant in my opinion.Regardless of whos house that dog was in it needs destroyed as if it gets the right part or a kid on their own outside when its roaming it will kill them cos hows a kid supposed

Same here most of the time despite me warning them to keep their dogs back.I gave up being diplomatic about it years ago i tell them if they dont listen tough shit if my dogs are on leads and theirs aint then theyre the ones who would be in deep crap not me

Its a hot topic for me as i hate strays or roamers as one of my dogs isnt too friendly when strange dogs bound up and jump on him and he reacts like a bomb.Plus i am a great believer in controlling your dog where you can i know its not always possible and sometimes a situation arises that you cant completely control.The way7 some of the replies come across though really peeves me off the dog did not deserve to die in the way it did and well done on paying for a post mortem i know fine from experience they aint cheap and as the lad said pm reported the dog had been bashed to death not hit by a

At the end of the day the dog killed someone yet theres loads of people worrying about the dog!My male dog for exsample would defend you to the death but hes not allowed to cos i dont really want him to have to be pts.He did however growl and push a friend of mine away from me and charge at him because we were all carrying on and he had me backed in the corner something My dogs dont seem to take kindly too.He also took off at my dads mate for the same thing he stepped into the back of the van behind me shouting because of someone else and dog mistook it for something else.The dog was soon told

Got to admit other peoples dogs running up to any of mine is a no no if theyre on the lead if theyre free they dont really bother although i do have to watch the big man.Both of them will take no crap of another dog and if it goes for them they will go all out to do damage.The male flung a collie several feet across a car park after the owner let it off to say hello cos he felt my dogs look nervous lol.Tried explaining it wasnt a good idea and then WHAM too late.He was cracking up even after i pointed out if he hadnt let hound off lead they would never have been able to get it.Kids flying over
