Its an electronic caller. Basically a recording of a certain species of bird meant for attracting said species of bird. I might also add that the use of electronic callers to attract birds for shooting is prohibited in the UK. Yes totally illegal. I'm such a naughty boy Joking aside you can use callers for photographing birds quite expensive but well woth the money IMO Not having a dig mate I have one too More for the benefit of the people who dont even know what they are No offence taken, I know you weren't having a go but thanks Jays and magpies came floc

Mate, don't be put off, if you think you've something good to sell then sell it! Always worth a look, if you have any wooded roost areas then you are in for, in my opinion, the most fun form of pigeon shooting there is. They will be on the rape in the next few weeks right through to spring. Tabs I agree that roost shooting is fun but not till Feb unless there's no game shot on the land. A very quick way to loose permission is to piss off the local gamekeeper by stopping his birds going to roost.

Think you may be wasting your time, Strong Stuff on here sells some really good solid brass couples.

Wouldn't ever go out without a floater or two. Also those glass fibre poles used to mark a field are good for adding height and movement to your pattern.

They will fatten ok, but the carcass size will be considerably smaller, and they will take longer to finish, also will want more feed to get them up to a decent size as they are not bred specifically for meat. I do a bit of work for a petting zoo and they hatch a dozen chicks every weekend through the summer for the kids to look at, they give me them when they are around a week old, these I fatten for my own consumption, as a rule traditional breed chickens take roughly 24 to 26 weeks to get up to the 5lb mark, compare this to a Cobb-Vantress Cobb500 which can get up to 5lb in 35 days beca

Friend phoned early morning wanting me to sort out some rooks on his maize. Once awake I drove up to his wood to set up. Promised the wife I'd be home for lunch!!! ( never am ) Rooks and crows came to the U Caller on cover strip next to wood but didn't like my decoys and kept out of range so I packed up and donned my new cammo 20 yrd into the wood. Left the caller on the ground another 20 yrd in. This worked a treat and they kept coming and most were taken just above the trees. Shot only 20 in my hide but doubled that just leaning against a tree in the wood. Brilliant 4hr sport. And I nearl
