which is the better movie? green street / football factory
AKA-BRINDLE replied to a topic in General Talk
Both shite! why dont u watch tellytubbies both pretty shite but greenstreet being the most cringeworthy of the 2...john Kings book 'the football factory' on which the film is loosely based is a good read the author was obviously a proper fan and also had a good taste in music -
Warm salt water solution has allways worked for me use a syringe to flush out deep wounds...dont think there is a fast way to speed up the bodys natural healing process just keeping the wound efficiently clean stops the wound getting infected and taking so long to heal...if you can get hold of it a betadine solution is also very good for flushing out wounds

made me chuckle that one ....heres a couple a gooduns; "you cant polish a turd" "dont piss up my back and tell me its raining"

Hes probably thinking of the old strain of bull and terrier call the 'Blue Paul'...and no it dont exist any more despit what some gipsy's will tell ya! What was the blue paul?? like i said an old strain of bull and terrier similar to the pit/staff popular in scotland if i remember right died out around a century ago some say there are secret lines of these dogs hidden away in ireland but i think such talk is bullshit...but would guess that most of the strains of blue pits/staffs that are around today may have their roots in those dogs..

yes...the land around the norfolk broads is infested with em!. them and chinese water deer (find it hard to tell the differance between the two at times)...roe numbers are up around here too was just saying to a mate that my dogs have flushed and ran em twice this weekend (good job my bitch has good recall)...heard some one on the radio say theres more deer in this country now than there was 1000 years ago! (think i heard that right?!) certainly numbers have dramatically increased round here in the last 40 years

I wasnt having a dig mate ...i work on building sites and tend to pick up bits and pieces very cost effctive if you know what i mean...but if its really about keeping the dogs warm in the cold weather the product i mentioned is far superiour to straw...and only costs just over £1 for a large sheet...you know if a jobs worth doing its worth doing properly and all that...all the best with the boxes...

The question you really need to ask is why 100 odd years back when the bull and terrier breeds where being worked and tested on a more regular basis why did the Hinks type bull and terrier so quickly fall from favour with the working dog men? why did they choose to go back to using the original type bull and terrier (staff & pit type) the answer can only be that even back then the hinks type just didnt make the grade as a working dog (obviously there are exceptions but i'm talking about the breed as a whole)...if it wasnt for the kennel club and the show ring fancy the breed would have cea

Back in the 1930's the English bull was in such a state that they bred the Stafford back into it to give the breed a bit of spirit this breeding program produced the coloured bull terrier...most of the EBT that i can think of that have made any sort of good worker have been to some degree coloured bull terriers..ie 'red hand of ulster'...many say the working ability in those dogs came from the Stafford side of the genes.................................................so why not just use a decent Stafford??

After reading that, I'm wondering too!!! Obvously you run yours on big game out there on the plains of liverpool?...or you telling me you need a BullX for bunnies? ...its not only in this country BullX's get worked and not eveywhere has our laws on hunting...like i said just how it looks to me...an opinion...its what a forum's all about
-
Personaly i wouldnt use EBT blood mainly due to all the health problems in the breed...i have never understood the obsession with using pit blood in a BullX i mean at the end of the day the dogs is basically going to be used on fox and the odd muntjak...so why would you need a game bred pit?...a bit like using a sledgehammer to crack a walnut if you ask me...as far as Staffords go well theres Staffs and then theres Staffs...theres plenty of well bred staffs in their pure form capable of dealing with fox. the grey blood just giving em the speed to be more efficient about the job...just how it l

Not if their raw mate. cheers mate just started feeding mine raw little bit worried as i havent used chicken before I know this will get me shot down in flames as feeding BARF is like a religion to some of you lads but i dont feed mine ANY bone...my dogs tend to bolt their food and even when being closly supervised have had some nasty choking incidents...have also found feeding a lot of bone turns the dogs shit to the consistency of powder which is plain to see is sometimes uncomfortable for the dogs to pass...to me the bone is just filler sure the dogs will eat it but it has l

Both mine have ripped dew claws off a few times...i put NOTHING on the wound the dog will keep it clean itself with obsessive licking...so little point putting any creams ect on it...the reason why it swelled back up again was because the nail was still catching and irritateing it now you have pulled it off no more problem...the claw usually grows back...sounds an obvious thing to say but i bought myself a good quality pair of nail clippers and keep the dew claws as short as is possible...all the best

Dont sound bad enough to be a torn muscle or ruptured tendon...but impossible for me to give an accurate diagnosis as it probably would be for the vet...probably just strained ligaments...which is most likely what the vet will tell you and perscribe anti-inflammatories...if the dog is walking fine and still managing to run i would keep him to light lead walks for a couple a weeks as you already said and take it easy with him after that...steaming around with another dog can cause all sorts of minor muscle tweaks and strains...oh yeah and check his feet and pads...

Have a bump on me mate...and dont budge on the price...looks worth every penny...all the best with him

Bull X pup needs a genuine home.
AKA-BRINDLE replied to Strong Stuff's topic in Optics and Night Vision
Most sencible answer...kennel it outside...you may find keeping both males inside together will be more of a problem in 14 months time when the pup finds his balls so to speak...all the best with what ever you do...(you sound like you make some on the spur of the moment hasty sales decisions...got a few second hand motors here you might like to take a look at...all good runners ) -
