    ive just got back in there was a very light covering of snow on the ground and its been a very enjoyable and rewarding night. no problems what so ever with the dogs feet, he will be out again later for a run

    out of all the breeds of deer from the muntjac to the big old reds which deer do you think had the most ultimate challanging stag/buck for a dog to take pre ban. is the red stag the ultimate due to his size, or are some of the smaller breeds the top of the list due to them being smaller and more nimble. opinions please

    the rabbit population around me isnt as good as it has been for the past few years, as you have said some places seem to have the rabbit population vanish over night. there is some places around me with alot less rabbits on them at the start of this season than there was at the end of last season.

    sounds about right to me all this bollox comparing dogs to marathon runners theyre dogs ffs not humans i can see you have never seen a dog to a proper hard nights work. i can see you lack intelligence and youve no idea what your talking about never as the name trigger seemed so appropriate I AM RIGHT THEN. you can keep your so called intelligence. i will stick to common sense which you seem to be lacking. listen,i aint getting into a petty argument with some know nothing keyboard hunter who doesnt know when to feed his own dogs as for intelligence and common sense

    the vet tells you the worst possible out come just to cover there selves. just because a vets told you something it doesnt always mean they are right.

    i dont think you can compare the work rate of the domesticated working dog to that of a wolf, a wolf hunts when hungry and stops when he has made is kill because he fills his stomach. The working lurcher as there boundries pushed in different ways they dont stop when they have made there first catch they have to repeat it again and again through out the night. surely you can do more on a half full tank (stomach) than you can on a empty one.

    when you are taking your dogs out for a hard nights graft how soon before you take them out do you feed them? do you feed your dogs as normal or do you change the feed time to suit what ever time of the night you are taking them out. and also do you give them anything extra on or with there meal to aid them through the night.

    so you have 2 dogs walking of the lead. How do they know which one to run! So you run 2 dogs all the time on your game, you have never ran them singley? do they not have a high prey drive... my dogs walk of the lead.. one goes everywhere of the lead.. There can be 10 cats on the other side of the main road. she stops at every side street and every road there is. and waits for the click of the finger but i'll tell you what. If a hare, rabbit or deer got up. she would be running like feck wether i had clicked my fingers or not... my dog has caught more than enough both single ha

    i dont use any kind of slip my dogs been taught to work without them.
