Well both my kids are very used to opening the freezer for a lolly and seeing a sectioned off area with chicks & the odd rabbit in there, something i think most kids never see, so its like water of a ducks back to them, my two were 7 & a baby in arms when i went out as a complete newbie with my husband who had always worked ferrets as a teenager & he wanted to get back into it But the day to day care of the ferret we got was soon left to me & i hated the bloody things, scared shitless of going anywhere near the horrible spitty thing , so as he has lot all interest in t

cheers kay thats what me ferret looked like befor i put the hob in with after it her then it went down but now shes gettin fat now and you can see her nipples more clearly now and it has made a cicular bed now were it used to sleep any were in the cage befor and ive split the other bitch in to its own cage now because some one told me that the ferret might eat its kits as it might treat the other bitch as a threat im learning alot now by reading books and getting advice of the class web site keep the advice cumming as im no expert oh ye when its had the kits will porrige be ok for th

Yes Kay..........they are clever little hot arsed buggers.........and the nests are constructed as John said of chewed wood mixed with saliva. It is facinating to see the different colours in the nests "paper" construction where the wasps have been chewing wood from fence panels stained different colours.Lots of greens and red cedar type stains. Rolfey. The one in my shed was a silver colour , it was only small about the size of a mango , and hollow , still interesting to see though
