  1. what is the risk of losing my snipped hob though? is it worth getting another working jill so i dont have to take him out? and what is a reasonable price for having a hob snipped? thank you for your patience i want to be sure as the lat gthing i want is to harm a ferret You mean when working him ?
  2. If you get kits born this year you wont need it jabbing, and if you get the hob done at the end of this year it wont need jabbing next year either as the hob will be able to go in with her
  3. shepp has a point as well i dont want to loose my pricey hob but i only have a 4x2x2' hutch which is not really good for three and my mum took long enough to persuade to have 2 . what happens if you take them away from their mum before that? does the mum suffer? Well even though the jill wont be feeding them at that age they learn a lot from there mother & imo it makes them well ballenced animals if there just left that few extra weeks, couple that with good food & handling & you find homes very easily for good sound animals mentally & physically. Ideally you sh
  4. Well to be honest if you go for a hob & 1 jill to start with , get the hob vasectomised around nov time, then by the time the jill needs bringing out of season the hob should be firing blanks. problem is if you breed you dont know how many kits will be born, they then have to be fed & eat tons of food if you do it properly & dont let them go untill there around the 7 to 8 week mark,

Nice to have a stroll , bloody cold on top of that field good job i had me vest on
  7. If you get 2 hobs you may have to seperate them when they come into season to stop any fighting, if you get one of each the jill still needs bringing out of season & the hob wont be able to stay in with her all year if you leave him entire why not go for 1 jill & get a hob vasectomised, meaning you can add more jills later on
  8. This is what you need to fill in from the inland revenue site http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/forms/11ctc.pdf
  9. What will happen? Once we receive your claim, we will liaise with the Inland Revenue to determine whether you are eligible for the rebate. When this is confirmed, the value of your rebate will be calculated and sent to you by cheque. Please note, The Entitlements Agency will retain any interest and £94exc vat for processing and administration. think your correct netter looks like one of these companys who claim stuff on your behalf, well if thats the case just ring the inland revene & ask them for a claim form & cut out the middle man & save yoursef 96 quid in costs

The place they have a run isnt bunny territory i have never seen any up there, but that lad who was flying his harris hawk the other week said there up there , must be for that fox to be on that land, he is retreving well but theres a place about a mile away thats teeming with rabbits my neighbour was saying this morning so if i get time either tomorrow or Tuesday i am going to go & have a look , see whats what & have a look round first
  14. I think the sprays more cost efective when you have several ferrets to treat as well, and you dont use tons of the stuff either so it should last a good season or more i would think
  15. I agree with you Peter stuff other than dogs does get pushed down the board , either a seperate section or no animals for sale at all is the only way to ensure other goods get a fair chance of a good few reading it

he is a lot better now mal, seems to be back to how he was, full of it, have just had to rescue a pair of my socks off him , he is collecting my stuff & putting it in his crate he has been a wee bit challenging this afternoon , running at me while we where out , but he did come back to me after his run round the field, he grumbled at Madge over food, so i took it off him , he can wait till i want to give it him now , aint having any of that off him He seems in general more switched on & is starting to get a little cocky , but i have enough scence to stop it before it starts
  17. i have only ever used the spray on ferrets which is still only available at the vets

  19. Yes totally agree , theres been a few done in my area for not picking up after there dogs , cant understand if you clean up your back yard why that wouldnt extend that to the grass verges while off your own property
