    Shall i just get some seed then ? or wont they bother much with that either to be perfectly candid Kay , i have never had much faith in fat balls for anything save tits. i know soem others have had good results, but not I. the very best food for birds (garden birds|) from now until september is live food...but its just so darn expensive..... Oh they can get there own food then , i will leave the ones hanging out & see if anything feeds on them

    Its a right pain having nowhere to put any away from the fences as i dont want any cats to get the birds

    I did think about doing some here with bird seed & lard it might be worth getting the seed anyway & getting me dad to make a bird table as well

    Because i dont have a bird table i have hung them up on a hanging basket bracket but if they melt if its really warm i will have to put them in a container so need something flat to put the container on , i dont want to use the shed roof as there is the odd cat still about

    My experience of feeding dry food as a staple was the ferrets were eating al the time & were fat & lazy , slept when they wernt eating , played rarely all they seemed to want to do was scoff 2 of the hobs i had were so overweight they had ruffs round there neck of fat , they both quickly lost weight & started to interact a lot more when the weight when down once i changed there diet to raw meat only

    I have hung some fat balls out in the garden as were inundated with song birds for the first time in donkeys yrs here, i want to know has anyone had any experience of them melting in the sun thats all really

    I have to admit that in the 22 yrs of living on the edge of a village surrounded by countryside i have walked round, through the middle of every field i am surrounded by & yet not once have i encountered a farmer or farm worker , yet someones always having a go at or with you for some reason Your lifes so full of drama's
