  1. Good advice Tracy, can I just add that you need to have photos of your dogs too, especialy if not chipped. Keep a record of any markings or scars and get the photos done. Most mobile phones have a camera in them and the pics can be sent to us by text, you will also be able to use the photos as proof that the dog is yours if it is picked up. Stay safe.

  6. Have you checked his mouth? any bad/broken teeth? I would get her checked over in case it's not related to the new pup. What is he like with a bone or rawhide chew?
  7. What you decide to do is up to you. Some that we have got back in a realy bad way pick up just as quickly as they were knocked down once they get back home and in their old routine and after a couple of weeks you'd never know they had been gone. She is young and fit so chances are she would be one of the lucky ones. Whatever you decide to do Doglost will keep searching, not only to get her back to you ASAP but to catch the b******s that are going round nicking them all. I would go with having one on loan that's not getting the work it needs and a pup to bring on for next year but make sure y

  15. Now registered on Doglost but I need a contact number for the owner. Using mine for now. Owner needs to go back to the last place he was seen, they often return to that place once they stop running. Leave a tshirt or something smelling of home/ owner to get hiom to stay in that area if is not near home.
  16. Can someone PM me the details so that I can put him on Doglost, I need a contact number and postcode and a photo would be a help. I can put him on using my mobile number as contact but that's not much help if I can't get hold of the owner. Thanks Kate for alerting me to this, maybe it should go in the lost & found section too.

    found lurcher dog

Probably a daft question but have you had him scanned for a chip? If you decide to give him up I can find a rescue to take him, expierienced with working dogs. Where are you?

    found lurcher dog

Does he match any of the ones on this link? http://www.doglost.co.uk/dog_search.php?status=Lost There are 4 pages of them. Can you all have a look at them and see if you recognise any? Click on each one to see details. Where do they all go? Just checked and that link is not working as I thought it would. When the page comes up enter "lurcher" in the breed box and tick "photo list"
