Yeah but if we "name and shame" we won't get the info. As it stands now some good folk will give us the tip we need to get them back and know they will not be dropped in the sh**. Doglost has a confidentiality policy, the dogs come first every time. We leave it to the owners to sort out any issues once the dogs are safe.

You have done a great job tracing the owner, I'm sure he will be very greatful to you for tracing him. If he still needs to rehome them I'm sure a reputable GSD rescue would help him.

Thanks for puting this on, can you pm me with more info, where are they now? have they been scanned for chips? and is there a contact number. I will have a look through Doglost to see if we have simmilar missing.

We have had 3 lurchers reported to us so far this year. Tan male found 3rd Jan near Hungerford, Tan bitch near Preston, Glos and a light tan/cream bitch post code OX10. None of these are chipped but all have destinguishing features which the owner will have to describe. If you think they are yours pm me your mobile number and I will get back to you.

Bracken, 3 yr old missing/probably stolen from Good Easter, Essex on 3rd Jan. Copy from her page on www.doglost.co.uk Owners almost certain Bramble was STOLEN. After Bramble and her Patterdale pal were around the farm, they disappeared.....which they do sometimes do but always return. Neighbours later - approx 6pm - heard a loud noise which they noticed (as a very rural area), looked out to see a 4x4 vehicle (believed to be an old Landrover, poss Defender, type) driving down the lane/field with no lights on. Still no news of this pup, now the distraction of Christmas is over the loss of Bradie is going to hit the children hard. I Can't see why anyone would target this particular pup, she's too young to be worked and not old enough for breading. Tattooed and microchipped so will easily be spotted if ever taken to a vet and with all the publicity could be recognised anywhere. Surely it would be best to just call the owners and possibly pick up the reward? come to that she could be dropped off at any kennels as a stray and once scanned would go home where she belongs.

I have invited all to join on face book, we just need to get this pup home. I would happily just go pick her up, no questions asked, and return her to where she belongs. All we need is that one PM or call to Doglost and it would all be over.

Thanks for cross posting this, how can people be so cruel. The poor kid cannot understand what has happened to his friend. The child is a boy who, due to limited speech, uses sign language which this pup has picked up on so quickly and he has done nearly all her training. The pup is a bitch and the area is the Dorset / Somerset border so please all of you down here keep your eyes and ears open. We don't need to know who has her or where she is, we just need to get her back safely as quick as we can. I will be puting a photo up as soon as I get one. If you go back to page 1 you will see the pictures of these pups were the first ones on there. Hard to recognise them now I guess and since then he has had 2 lurchers stolen, tan dog & bitch for which we have no photos and the mother of the pups. -
