I dont know if you do any 'free lancing' during the day or if you are prone to running things denied to us by Mr Blair but if you do, running a white dog will significantly increase your risk of being noticed and having your collar felt. Does he not mean a white dog will stand out more on the background running through the day?.......

Can anyone tell me what dogs see when the tv is on? i was always under the impression they couldn't see what was on the screen properly, but 2 of mine will sit and watch the telly for ages, this morning i was watching a longnetting dvd and my big dog sat and watched the whole thing through, do they actually see what is going on or not?

Does the dog know its place? ie, you're the pack leader, you need to have this in place, before anything else. IMO the dog should look to you for everything, that way once the chase is finished, she should be looking to you to see whats next, which will be you doing a recall and like everyone else has said, rewarded with its favourite treat. I had a bitch like yours and for a while i thought oh well its not like i'm a professional pest controller, but it can turn real bad if they f**k off onto a main road......

i run the same with a dash of collie in too and he is lightning fast off the spot, gets down no probs and takes everything he's put to with ease.....on a good day.... :whistle: ...otherwise he takes everything with a bit of effort......

Took my dog too line my mates bitch today and see if she'd stand for him, he had a good old lick and frothed at the mouth, she was full on willing to stand, tail cocked over begging for it..... .....and he had no real interest..... ..... he mounted her once after about 5 mins and weren't close enough and got off after 5 seconds.... .... then he showed no interest at all and was more interested in sniffing round the garden, when he did have another sniff and lick, he looked for a second like getting on and then.......... nowt.... ......f*****g poof!!!!!!!! What can you do? the other wee

I'd say stick to the one for now, lots of peeps have more for different reasons, i've got 3 of various sizes, and all with 1 year age gap and it's still hard to find time getting the youngest one trained, so training 2 is gonna be a pain in the arse, you'll prob get better results sticking to one for now and if you still want more later it'll be easier for you, plus any mistakes you make with the first one, you 'll be in a better position to sort it with the second .......
