  1. Lets be realistic....... ........ who fecking cares!!! this thread is meant to be about whether a dog could take 70 rabbits in one night..... ...... of course they can, with the right fitness and enough game on the land you lamp, you wouldn't train for a triathlon and then stop after the second event and say " oh well, i know i can do it but why push meself when i can just do the 3rd part tomorrow!" if you go out for pleasure and sport and love seeing the dogs run and working, would you not love seeing them run and take 70 rabbits??? of course you would, nobody is saying you should kill your
  2. its not that hard to believe, if you have the game there to take in those numbers, its been done many times, i've seen a video of a mates dog taking 30 odd rabbits before it missed one and i've seen the end result pics of nights over 100!!! I've also seen recorded notes and the pictures to back it up of 200+ rabbits in a night with only 2 or 3 dogs, all off people on this site now....... ..... and they themselves will be the first ones to say that if they are there and the dog knows it's job its easy...ish done, but if you only get 20 runs in a night, then getting 15 is spot on.......

    WARNING

I thought it was the norm to check peoples profiles and posts before considering parting with sensitive info...... ......not that i have any......... .......also if you've been on here long enough you know who you can and cant trust........ ....... personally i'd be wary of anyone who shares the same name as a hot and spicy food, that might mean you're a bit cold..... :11: :11: :11: ........... plus he's part of the strawberry blonde appreciation society....... :11: :11: :11:
  4. I'm with socks on this one, i wouldn't tolerate the smallest grumble towards a child regardless if its a toy or bone or any 'prized' possession the dog might think its got, i'll always remove stuff from dogs as they grow up so they know that i'm pack leader, i'll also make my other half do it and she, when i met her weren't into dogs at all, but you never know when she might need to take something off the dogs for there own safety when i aint around, try explaining pack mentality to someone who has never had dogs and was scared of them, it's an absolute must in my eyes, they are dogs and they

Thanks, yep gonna be having some fun this season..........
  14. my understanding of it is this....... regional heats run, for example you are drawn against me, you me and a judge go out lamping, a time limit is set of say 2 or 3 hours, we both lamp and slip our own dogs on alternate goes until the time limit is reached, then most kills wins and moves onto the next round, permision wise, if neither person has permision to go on we have to agree on a spot of free hand walking........ ...... the semi's i think are being held on maxhardcores land and the final is on miks, if you look back a couple of pages to the original thread, it gives you all the
  15. do you wanna go for best of 3, to give you a chance to make a come back....... :11: :11: :11:
  16. It's only o month away from paying and anaming the dog, not the competition........... ......that dont start till october.........
  17. looks nice mate, sure you'll have him upto speed in no time.........
  18. Aye i know, but i'll be gracious in defeat too........ ......all we can hope for is a good performance on the night....... ...... the lad i used to go out with years ago, we'd always have a little wager on who would do best alternate slips, had some excellent nights and you could never call it, just come down to each particular night, bit like shagging really, sometimes i'm a rampant stud and others i can only last for 2 hours....... :11: :11: :11: :11: :11: ...... but in all honesty it'll be a good do whatever the result........ .... have you decided about how the judging is gonna work
  19. :11: :11: :11: ........ I'm the other way round, i've got a pick of 3 to put in, but i know who it's gonna be, cant wait to win it..... :11: :11: :11: .... i mean take part........
  20. So then, now we're only a month away from paying in and naming which dog, who's walking the walk and who's just talking it.......... :11: :11:
  21. Yep, being by the beach is a god send this time of year, i've also got a couple of lakes too which are on the walks, aint nothing better than seeing them running around around in the water........
  22. my partners mate is a veterinary nurse and got a new dog through work, apparently its funny as f**k, its apparently a staffie X chihuahua........ :11: ...i'm going to pick up some wormers friday so i'll get a picture of it and put it up........
  23. Totally agree Andy, i dont work mine this time of year, depending on where i've got them out, depends if they are on a lead or not, i'm going out with chartpolski soon for another early morning walk with the dogs where there is a load of stuff out, but the ground is thick heathery moors so gives a bit of softness under foot, plus they'd be doing well to get up on anything cos you can be seen coming a mile off, but its nice to see the dogs scratching about scenting on things and be out seeing some stunning views..... ..... i used to work on a polo yard years back and treat my dogs in a similar
  24. Do your dogs not run around when they are off the lead? I know mine all do, but i aint too worried about that, as its nowhere near as punishing to them as lamping and the like, my dogs get there excercise early morning or late night through the summer, the ground is still like concrete but less chance of heat stroke and exhaustion problems...... realistically if we never took chances we'd never run our dogs, what about barb wire and plain wire? my dog hit some dumped plain wire in the side of a field and tore his front legs wide open...... what about stones and flints, how many fields do you w
  25. Solo is now fully settled in, you wouldn't even know you had him, picked a few daytime bits and bobs whilst out for walks, cant wait for the season and a bit of rain.........
