  1. I keep Cats as pets, 5 of them! Its NOT difficult to keep them on your own property, I have put inverted mesh along the top of my fence all round, cost about £30 all told, Cats on MY property and cant get out! I have no problem with the culling of feral Cats, but not pets, although I appreciate accidents do happen. I would welcome laws that demand Cat owners take more responsibilty for their pets. Dawn.
  2. Tis gone now, spose the antis got wind of it! Dawn.
  3. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Wild-Boar-Shooting-H...1QQcmdZViewItem 2 days to go! Dawn.
  4. Castrating him will only stop him bonking everything, shouldnt make any difference to anything else. Id get him done if I were you, or at least try a "Tardak" injection fist, a chemical castration that lasts 4-6 weeks, if you like the effect, then you can go for the permanent solution! Dawn.
  5. Spot on JJBull! Get his hips scored, and his eyes tested, then, when he's done a couple seasons decent work, think about using him at stud. of course if you have already done all that, great stuff! would like to see a photo. Dawn.

    vets.

Good on you Baldie. I know how you feel, I had similar feelings a few weeks ago. My 13yr old Border developed acute Hepatitis, he was doing really well, but then contracted Pancreatitis and the Vets could not control the pain and I had to have him PTS. Bill? £1622.20, what else could I do for a dog that had worked for me for 11 yrs of his life? he was giving his for me every time he went below ground. Hope your bitch make s afull recovery. Dawn.
  7. Good job the farmer didnt see you, he would of shot your dogs! Its the worst thing in the world, stock worrying, good luck in trying to stop them, I fear it may be a difficult task. Dawn.

    GREY SQUIRELLS

I hate them, really dislike them! Its my mission in life to kill as many as possible, I have seen that "pox" virus they give the Reds, its awful! Dawn.
  10. Ahh ok, just checking! Glad he is ok, Im sure you or he wont notice the difference, Dawn.
  11. Might sound silly, but is it definately broken and not bruised as in "dead tail, or water tail?" They hang lifeless for a few days but then improve, know one guy who almost has his Greyhounds tail removed due to this, but fortunately the Vet that saw him on the day of the op realised in time. Dawn.
  12. Your not bonkers Molly! We are seeing a lot of Buzzards together too. I wondered if they were youngsters? dawn.
  13. I think its always best to use the reccommended dosage, rather than what you "think" may be appropriate. There are plenty of sites that give correct dosage for most drugs, just be careful, read the instructions and you should be fine. I do agree dogs can build up an immunity to anti-biotics, but thre are types of anti-biotics for different problems, if you use the right one you should be ok. Dawn.
  14. The dose rate is 12.5mg per kg bodyweight, twice daily. (equivalent dosage 12.5mg per 2.2 lbs bodyweight, twice daily). From a veterinary website. 2, 250mg tabs a day is too much for a Terrier. Another site Dogs: The recommended dosage is 5 mg/lb of body weight twice a day Same applies, basically 100mg or thereabouts twice a day. Dawn.
  15. Glad you are catching a few Moll, I have a bitch that waits and waits untill she sees the top of a Mole hill move, then BANG just like yours, grabs them! DAwn.
  16. Fine looking animals Mike. Dawn.
  17. I give half an amoxycillin 250mg tab twice a day to a terrier. Dawn.
  18. Thanks for the update Gin. Dawn.
  19. Looks a super pup Poacher. Dawn.
  20. I have the 350D and my boss had the D70s, mine is better! Dawn.
  21. Yeah possibly, I just didnt think the damage looked that fresh. Dawn.
  22. Why dont you leave them alone and give them chance to recover numbers instead of irradicating them, unless of course that is the whole idea? Dawn.
  23. Bottom line is it probably wont drop now. Testicles should be outside the body as they need to retain a lower temperature, when they are inside they can become cancerous. You can have only the retained testicle removed if you wish, obviously as it is an inherited condiotion the dog should never be bred from. Dawn.
