  1. Right saw a few of these this morning but nothing to to bring them home in, so tomorrow I will be prepared.. Its been a while but from memory put them in a tank with water and lettuce for a week, then fry with garlic, herbs and add a drop of cream. Then order a curry.
  2. Super shots and added as a favorite on Flickr.
  3. Very nice set of photos Barry Island is a lot nicer now than when I last went some 20 years ago.
  4. Lovely shots and super sharp and close.
  5. Not much in the way of photos this week but I got this one. You can click it to get bigger on my Flickr page.
  6. I think they are really good and the lighting is very nice IMO. Lots of people like the studio style, I got asked the other day by a friend of my wife if I knew a studio where she could take her horse for photos! She ended up getting a pro photographer down to the yard and paid a fair bit too. Can't wait to see how they turn out there are another 20 odd people down there so £££ me think thinks. As for totally portable, I hate to see what you take on hols
  7. Great pics and those chicks must be doing alright with the amount of food being droped off.
  8. They are fantastic I never seem to get close enough to even get a shot let alone have the posing
  9. Thanks for the comments. Creeping up on the stag was good and his look sort of said thats close enough to me and he was close. One more I got. .
  10. I was passing Bushey Park today so stopped off for a coffee and a strole. Click on them to see more.
  11. Purdey's progress is good. If getting a pup save the news papers and get some sleep. Buy an OS map covering where you live as you will soon get bored walking round the block. Oh and get a camera to take picks of the dog and everything you see wilst walking it for 1-3 or more hours a day. Enjoy
  12. Ritchie Thanks for looking and your comments I am 100% amature but love the outdoors, wildlife and also photography now. The first one was taken at a show and the bird appeared from no where and at speed and I admit my panning is not great but I was happy to get at least one of the hawk. The others we all taken whilst walking my two dogs around where I live just North of Guildford, Surrey I also like Robertofabbri-wildlife.com is there a storey.
  13. Thanks for the comments and glad you like them. To be honest I don't know exactly how either are bred only that the rough coats dam was a saluki x grey. The brindle and white one when we got him he was really skinny and he looked like he had English bull in him but at a guess he has some staffy maybe collie and maybe more whippet than grey as 24" but not really sure someone said he looked like an Ibiazan hound once due to his stature oh and a Great Dane as well. I got the rough coat first expecting very little on the working side but hoped to do a bit of lamping on my shooting p
  14. I haven't put any pics up here for a while so here are a few Got a bit carried away, but they have not turned out too bad for a couple of rescue dogs. Looking forward to bringing him (brindle) on in his first season, she (rough coat saluki/grey X) is a natural day and night.
  15. What a week the whole place seems alive, I took loads more than these as well. A fly past at The Cow Pie Show New on the Wey Navigation After our Rabbits These are quick took ages to get one in near focus Luck the dogs didn't see Expecting any day now Cute little The Bee
  16. Go to flickr and type in nature or any amimal you are interested in there are millions of photos on there.
  17. I thought about what you said and called my local bee keepers club they were very exited so I gave them directions to the exact spot. The chap called to thank me but said they had gone which is often the case but to call if I see them again. It seems there are a lot of people wanting bees so if you spot a swarm call your local bee club.
  18. Seen this chap almost every day this week by PINNACLE PHOTO LOG, on Flickr
  19. Never seen this before, hanging from a tree 5 meters from a tow path, I didn't want to get too close. by PINNACLE PHOTO LOG, on Flickr
  20. I got these this this morning just up river from where I got my first sighting so think it is the same chap. ALL WILD AND NOT FAT by PINNACLE PHOTO LOG, on Flickr Antlers in the grass Going out this week without the dogs to try and get closer as they seem to know what is going on now, and the deer are spooked.
  21. Don't follow this jokers advice. Have seen this done, and it's not the way to go. Keep massaging the crop with the bird upside down, and spoon feed a tea spoon of olive oil (Gently) down the birds throat. Or warn water they don't like it but they can die unless cleared, a vet will cut the crop and stitch it and stitch you up for £ or so. A blockage is often caused by long bits of grass so never feed grass clippings.
  22. Wwwow that must have taken ages they flit all over the place super shot
  23. Very nice Gifford looks like he has seen some action
