    Wel I am afraid to piss on peoples chips but I have seen them quite regular where i live..I too See them at Lockerbie and lads round here regularly see them on the lamp!!!!

    Craig Nuttall bred shane who was a first cross half cross and he came as a pup with its litter mate from the north east to the town of maryport in Cumbria... A lot of dogs are supposed bred down off his loins, He apparently had something to do with the famous Pie dog.

    In my short time in the lurcher world 10 years or so i have seen hundreds of roe pulled over day and night by dozens of differet dogs. The best i ever seen was a dog called Kane, a huge bull headed adonis of a dog who was a bull grey x sal whip grey. He f*****g destroyed them single handed and was like a heat seeker on them...Why was he the best..because he did it easily , quickly and a minimum of fuss...Ont the flip side I know a lad who had 2 1st cross deerhounds that caught the square root of f**k all cervids in their career sportingly as they were Slow Clumbersome and inert, Only good for

    I have an nreg renault laguna, 2 Litre 16v petrol, Comfy and more than enough room for the dogs, I get good economy as well for such a large car, beware the older models as once the electrics start to go on them, they are a nightmare

BUT ILL LET YOU INTO A LITTLE TRADE SECRET...GO TO BLACKS AND GET A PAIR OF SORBATHANES..THEY ARE FOR WINNERS IMHO..I HAVE THEM IN ALL MY BOOTS...THEN BRIDGEDALE SOCKS. Stabs you wont beleve this but I hve been in that Irish Store while visiting friends in leicestershire..And I was sad enough to buy the famous Pilgrims poster as so beloved in the SOF magazine...It looked great next to all my rebel posters lol

    WHY ARE PEOPLE TALKING LIKE DEER ARE RARELY CUGHT THEY CAN BE MUGGED ON THE LAMP BY ANY GOOD LURCHER OR ARE YOU LOY USING SPANIELS TO RUN THEM WITH????

    WELL ID SAY PERCENTAGE WISE MOST DOGS WILL MISS A HIGHER PERCENTAGE OF RABBITS THAN DEER, DEER GENERALLY ONLY GET AWAY IF THEY GET OUT THE BEAM,,,I HAVE NEVER EVER SEEN A DEER ESCAPE ON THE LAMP WHEN A GOOD DOG HAS COME TO TERMS WITH IT..BUT IVE SEEN DOGS OUT OF THE VERY BEST BLOODLINES LED A DANCE BY A RABBIT...IT IS PURELY DOWN TO THE CALIBRE OF DOG YOU KEEP, NO ROE BUCK ON THE LAMP WILL LIVE WITH A 27 INS KILLING MACHINE IMHO

    PERSONALLY I THINK YOU ARE GETTING A FALSE SENSE OF YOUR DOG IF HE CAN ONLY PULL THEM AT NIGHT...I THINK RABBITS ARE HARDER THAN DEER ON THE LAMP IMHO...OH AND AS FOR BREEDING..ANY DOG SHOULD TAKE THEM IF THEY WANT TOO

    well mate..ive seen hundreds of running dogs, But there have only been two i was left breathless by when setting eyes upon them in the flesh.. One was Turks Golly...The other was Scooby...Since Ive been on the net I have seen him mature into possibly the greatest lurcher in the country at his chosen vocation...
