    The badgers at mins mere will be getting it next they filmed one on spring watch swimming onto and island and raiding the avocet nests.

    It was on a scottish game keepers association posts on Facebook about a gull cull to prevent air strikes the rspb where against and I posted they had a cheek considering they've done it and somebody else chipped in about the merlins getting it for nabbing avocet chicks I asked when that happened but never got back to me just wondered if anybody had heard about that?!

    Somebody told me that the rspb had been known to kill merlins to protect their nesting avocet chicks. Anybody heard of this? I heard they culled seagulls but that was new to me

    That's 9 red kites and 4 buzzards in total been found up north around rosshire. I don't hear much about this down south in England is it as big a problem? These people are completely degrading the sport I love seriously seriously bad press for the shooting community

    If a dog gets something in its head no amount of stop whistle or calling will get thru I would have bolted up after him roaring and blowing the whistle grabbed him by the scruff still blowing the whistle and made sure he knew that he royally f****d uuuuup

    I put the following on the gun dog section but thought id try it in here aswell My dogs been limping for months I've had 9 X-rays at the vets, nothing showed up apart from the minor onset of mild arthritis but nothing to cause the limps he's got. I've just finished a course of injections from the vets to try and aid the recovery but he's still limping and I'm getting sick and tired off it. I had him out shooting a couple if days to give him a run as all he's been getting is lead walks he never limped all day did the next day. Anybody ever experienced this type of injury to their dog? It's

    What else can they do if its a soft tissue injury that a vet can't is there a medication or a physiology type thing?

    It's got that but I have saw it frozen there's a lot of this weed carpeting the surface that's growing up from the bottom aswell not sure wether to clear it out or not

    Yep that's great help cheers Ill persevere with this one for the time being then ill look at upgrading to something that will allow me to alter the lens if need be

    I have a fujifilm fine pix slr 300 with 30x optical zoom. Now I've not got a clue about this but all I now is i could do to get a bigger lens to help me with when I'm out shooting fishing or walking to capture some birds of prey etc and zoom further in could somebody explain or help me identify which lens I should look at getting Cheers stevie

    What's classed as a hard mouthed dog? I was out shooting ducks and my spaniel brought a runner back that had puncture marks on it this happens now and again when he is retrieving but not all the time is this hard mouthed?

    I did t realise there was a section for big game hunting on here till about 5 mins ago on one of the posts some guys was saying he'd like to shoot a lion or leopard! Why would you want to do that you can't eat it and it won't make you anymore of a man I don't get why you would want to wipe out majestic animals like that.

    Had him at the vet couple of weeks ago they did X-rays thinking it was arthritis but that was clear got some anti imflammotarys and told to walk him on the lead but he is still limping but it doesn't appear to hold him back I was told that spaniels ate prone to a shoulder injury has anybody with a springer experienced this?

    My spaniel sleeps on my bedroom floor and I've been on a few shoots that have commented on how good a dog he is doesn't make a difference just how many hours of training you put in
