I'd take one of those aswell Steve as I know both parents do the biz, but would still in the mean time look for a bitch I could use spike over. Derek did say he might use him as an outcross on one of his bitches that would be good mating I like the stamp of Derek's Russell's.

He will be 4 and a bit I wouldn't mind a pup out of him but there's no decent Russell bitches round me most prefer there black dogs. I might buy a bitch pup in from working stock and take it from there but talking years down the line from there.

Should be ideal for on them tops TOMO -
So if your doing a full nights lamping on Monday night the dogs get fed on Sunday night lets say 8 o'clock by 4 am they have digested and used up that meal it's going to be at least another 24 hours before they are fed and you expect them to put in a full nights graft .... If I am going out lamping at say 10 pm my dogs get half a meal at around 4 pm ... This gives them plenty of energy to see them through a nights graft ......... Exactly how I do it always works for me mate! That's the way my dads always done it, especially if your dogs out 2/3 nights in a row. I feed mine when I get in aswel
