  1. Country Foxes are alot more wary of cages than there town friends, i disguise mine as best i can , make it look like a run through, as for bait, go to the local fish monger, ask him for a bag of scraps (heads etc) tie a knot in the top of the bag, then punch holes in it, then half bury it placing your trap over it with bait behind the plate obviously, i'd be very surprised if he wasn't in there within 48 hrs. 2. Yes mate it acts as an attractant to other mink in the area, and believe me this stuff stinks! had good success with it in the past which is why i have ordered a load of it, as for territorial or mating, i presume it would act for both depending on the time of year. Foxy
  3. Hi folks, I'm importing a few boxes of Mink Gland lure from the states, will have some surplus so offering it for sale also and if there is enough interest from you trappers i may make something more permanent. Will come in 1oz bottles £9.99 inc postage in the UK (for one bottle) Please PM if interested Regards Foxy

  11. Nets are for quiters!! lol joking mate, i do use nets, only use bolt traps when i either run out, or on holes that are hard to net or reach, such as on the other side od a hedge or wall if im working alone etc, there a good wee tool. Foxy
  12. It is that mate, wouldnt be without it. Foxy
  13. Hi MT, a mate knocked them up for me, not sure what gauge they are to be honest, ill try find out though, heavy is good in my book mate as without proper solid ends on them (as in the end that goes into the burrow) anything light will just warp and disfigure when pushed into the hole impeding the trap door. Foxy
  14. as its used while ferreting, you'd simply pick it up and remove the ferret it has a one way trap door, you cant see that in the picture as its in the rabbit hole, so in answer to your question, no If you look closely at the picture you can see the door of the trap just as it goes into the burrow. Cheers Foxy
  15. no thanks bud, if i get another shortly you can have it. Foxy
  16. Pretty much exactly what it is! its a bolt trap with a one way door, used while ferreting, rabbits bolt into it, cant get out. Foxy
  17. Its a wooden tunnel dug into the ground mate with a bit of lure aswell, surrounded by a rabbit warren aswell so i catch stoats in that set regular. Foxy
  18. Hi stephen, not sure what you mean re-set? the trap is fired? can see how it looks with the top bar but this is just from the angle i took the photo from, the trap fits snug into that tunnel and the spring gap is two inches wide, again its just the angle of the photo that might make it look smaller Foxy picture looks snide to me snide? care to elaborate?
