  3. A GOOD DOG BY ALL ACCOUNTS,BUT NOT THE BEST EITHER,VIC WOULD HAVE TO AGREE WITH THAT,PLENTY OF BUNNYS ABOUT IN THEM DAYS,AND THEY WERE NOT AS SHY ON THE DAZZLER,EITHER WAY YOU HAVE TO PUT THE DOG BEHIND THE GAME ,SO THERE WAS ALOT OF TRAVELLING DONE,BUT RESPECT HAS TO BE GIVEN TO THE DOG,IT WAS ALL ABOUT ,POUNDS,SHILLINGS AND PENCE IN THEM DAYS
  4. i sounds a very worthy cause, can anyone tell us is it hardback ,roughly how many pages, the very best of luck with the book,
  5. good reliable jeep, just watch for over heating,it can be a problem, mainly because people use water in rad,it should be coolant try stay away from automatics in them, there dead slow to get up speed, manuals are fine anything else is cheap to fix,as well as parts are very cheap
  6. TELL me my friend, are you selling it or givinging it away or what
  7. is she still alive mate, and did she ever produce any good pups
  8. CAN ANY OF OUR FRIENDS ACROSS WATER NAME A FEW OF THE DOGS THAT ARE AT THE TOP OF THE COURSEING GAME,BE NICE TO HEAR OF DIFFERENT BREEDING,

  10. andy funny you mention collie cross, because that was what my mate was told by another courseing guy,he has won 5 straight matches against some first class courseing dogs i am told,my mate told me the longer the course goes the better the dog gets, any picture of the dog,
  11. andy is the black dog in the picture the one that doing well on the hares,a good friend of mine in belfast was telling me about it,talks very highly of it,
  12. POACHERSPOCKET22 how do you think the new stock will fare out,i personally seen alot of the old stuff work, ran with minshaw back then,i like the look of what your produceing now, your don dog i think would of made a name for itself back then,if look were anything to go by,game not as plentiful as it was then,
  13. allways the dogs fella anyone who knows me will tell you that most of the boys think i to soft on em you only got to look at my dogs to see the condition there in ,the betting is just a side line as i know there very dog well i cant argue with that mate, happy christmas and good luck with the matches, did the brick take you up on your offer
  14. I will give you my twopence worth ,just keep working dog to working dog and you will not go to far wrong but a strong working drive will carry most dogs threw a hard night, long after the speed has gone, the older dogs mostly wore the game down, if your putting up old minshaws blue as near the start of your lines, you will no he was not particularly fast, but could run the night, long after most have stopped, thats what put the game in the bag, long hours and the mutts to run it
  15. here you are fella, the Dam of Don SHE looks a good type,a friend of mine lives over in the north of ireland, said he met the lad who brought the collie over to be mated, and she was from top stock, had to pull a few favours to secure the loan of her i am told,he only met the lad ounce, but knew by talking to him he was a good dogman, and knew his stuff,i will be over to northern ireland over christmas period,so he will try to arrange a meet with him if possible,it be nice to have a few pints with some good dogmen,if it happens will let you know
  16. WOULD have to agree with you on that, but i did not know they were four wheel drive
  17. WELL if it was done, fare play to him,it just that alot of people dont believe to much from him,iam suprised there are no pictures floating about, maybe he is wiseing up
  18. NOW this could turn out to be very interesting,i heard of this litter some time back by a friend of mine in the north of ireland, not much was knowing of them, possibly to young at the time, so i said i would watch this space,i even put a topic up at the time looking to see what they turned out like, but to be honest i met a brick wall ,now i have seen alot of crosses run over the years, but this cross intrigued me greatly ,because of the minshaw blood used,i do believe young man your going to have a very good dog on your hands, and i have seen enough of the old stuff run to make that judgement
  19. never lancer no need to lie dont keep minshaw dogs never have went out 3 times with victor 20 years ago seen that blue do 27 hares yes small fields but middle of winter not leverets all single handed second time out went to penrith watched the same dog do 112 rabbits in one night single handed third time out watched same dog pull several hares 3 foxes and 2 red deer like i said that dog was the best ive seen in 30 years dont think ill see another like it ever again NOW i would buy into the VM blue dog doing 27 hares, after seeing this dog run more times than anyone on this site, but
  20. try not lets turn this into a slagging match, jack lee i can understand why the lid is been kept on over there with all the shit stirring over them over here, it would make anyone keep quite about them, the man that keep them seems to be a genuine dog man and they are few and far apart, NESBIT its a shame that the tax payers money ounce again is wasted setting check points up for a few lousey bunnys poachers, its the likes of the keepers and land owners that has it the way it is with all there whineing and moaning,
  21. jack lee no need to be to suspicious lad, i know perfectly well what a good minshaw should be like.i ran long enough with minshaw in the seventhys , as i said first its for a very good pal of mine,he has heard very good reports about the ones from over there,he was not sure wether it was a wind up or not, and by all accounts it sounded a bit like the old stuff, hence the enquiry
  22. well i know there were more replys, but in view of the fact that the site had a few problems we seem to lose a few replys from members, anybody that lost there replys could you reply please
  23. i know what your saying richie, maybe they just never took of over there, or the lads that keep them , remain stumb ,and keep a low profile, a good thumb of rule in my book anyway, just that i thought there was a good few of them by all reports ,
  24. it does not stop them splashing it all over here, so may be we might have to take a leaf from there book, my friend.anyway we will have to wait and see
