  1. I use yellow blanks made by vawter in mine. They are for the launcher, and get close to 75yds Without a tail wind. Red should go farther still. I've never seen purple. The casing bursting sounds like a problem with the chamber. Assuming the caliber is correct. You could be loosing all your power there. As opposed to pushing the dummy. ATB
  2. Hi Dave thanks. No pup yet. Looking at early summer. ATB
  3. So true that Dan no one will sell a good dog but if I was you I would defo get the EDWARDS line over here bro if ther that good they will hae a impact on a lot of crosses There is no Edwards line. I did not breed my dogs. I dont take any credit for any of that. I didnt even own my current dogs a year ago. They were handed over to me by a friend. My friend did not even breed them. He takes no credit for that. Good dogs are where you find them, not some magical secret or breeding plan. They just crop up here and there from time to time. Nobody could just wave a wand and recreat
  4. Stolen? Thats a shame. It looks like it was a worker. ATB
  5. Hi Ruthi, Thanks for your comments. That is Kent lake in the picture. It'll really be nice when the leaves come out. It's pretty good for perch and bass. The dog had tore a muscle in his left rear leg. Re-tore I should say. It happened last year about this time. So, he's had a couple weeks of R&R (rest and rimadyl) with confinement to his kennel. This was his first time out. Just trying to get his strengh back and lose a couple of pounds. Swimming is the best for that I think. ATB
  6. Force fetch solves retrieving problems. Looking on you tube to see how techniques are done is a good idea. But, having an experienced teacher would really make it easier. here's a couple links to a tutorial on the subject. This one doesn't involve an e-collar. But that can be an option if you have one and are pretty good with your timing. Timing is everything! http://www.oakhillke...rce/force1.html http://www.oakhillke...rce/force2.html Good luck.
  7. Ha, Ha, Ha. I swear by them. Much more humane than some other techniques I'm familiar with. But, to each their own. ATB
  8. I agree with everyone else. Thats a very nice looking pup. Knows how to pose too. ATB

  13. BC is pretty mountainous. Good bear hunting. Both Black and Grizzly. otherwise various grouse, deer, moose. Hope you enjoy it.
  14. Hi jack. Yes some pointing instinct should already be apparent. With some Wirehairs, it develops later than others. Mine was pointing out of the box. Others took as much as two years. I don't know why. One of the keys to bringing it out. Is to not let the dog catch any birds. So, if your going to plant birds. Don't dizzy them up very much. pigeons are good because they are strong flyers. But they have to be freshly caught. I might try resting the dog from birds for a little while after an incidental catch. How did she do on pheasants? Was she pointing them? if not, a more basic approac

  17. I might give up a couple of my guns for a Lurcher. If you are looking to trade. But give up my guns all together? No.
  18. We're not over crowded brother. You need to get out and see the world. It's mostly vacant of people. If your government tells you not to have children. Have many. ATB
  19. Thats what I feed. Over here, it's 30% protein, 20% fat. Which is what I look for.
