  1. Spot on, been working lurchers 25 years, and it was the same now as it was then. The bottom line is they dont want lurchers on there ground (land owners + keepers). They know that ( famers) that untrained dogs will kill sheep, and keepers know that lurchers can and feck drives up the next day by moving the partridge's off, these are words from farmers+ keepers ive spoke to over the years . They know you can get few good lurchers owners who train there lurchers to a high standard, and keep away from there ground birds. But they dont like to take the risk with (no one) s o its a big no if you
  2. how is it that its always young lads that get blamed for it ? how many lads do you know that go out braking into sheds tracktors etc? how do you know it was lurchers that killed the sheep unless YOU witnessed it with your own eyes? how do you know there werent a legitement reason for game being left like it came on top and they had to make a fast exit? or even still unless you found the carcasses yourself and examined them how do you know it aint the trigger happy high powered rifle men that have there gun poked out of the window and shoot anything they can and leave it were its dropped? lurc
  3. Some lads on here need to get there heads out from up there own arse anyone would think there shit smelled of roses some of you are as bad as the antis
  4. Let your little girl choose. Would be the top one got me though
  5. topper of a pup cracking strike one to watch
  6. Cockers are smaller so can get into tighter spaces and tend to be more biddable springers take abit more training tend to be abit more head strong but once trained equally as good. I think it comes down to preference and what they are doing flushing tight cover just for rabbits cocker would be your best bet IMO, if your flushing bigger game or shooting geese and duck over water etc you would want a nice strong springer
