  1. Basc wouldn't help me at all, the result was I had my license revoked for 3 years, so I've probably jumped through more hoops than most people for my fac , that's all a few years back now an I have everything back including stalking rifles , centre fire an rim fire. Basc are more for the upper class snobs that call themselves shooting types. Just my opinion ?
  2. Forget joining basc , they wouldn't help me when I had some fac related issues ( because I'm not the shooting type an have skeletons in the closet) , I'd try for a 22 an 17 hmr , if they refuse you you'll no what to do to make them happy for your next application, an do you mean humane dispatch? ?
  3. My fac was issued on his local county estate, but no point introducing him if he don't associate with shooting types ?
  4. There not shooting types (paying guns) there lads that help out in return for ferreting pigeon shooting, foxing an all local to you
  5. If l had more time I'd like to try but I'll stick to me 28.99 a box an keep trying a few cheaper ones on targets an see how i get on
  6. Do ya not the breeding of this one ? Looks very similar to mine
  7. I'd be same if I started home loading, my wife says I'm not aloud any more hobbies, especially expensive ones .
  8. My local shop as 223 ammunition starting at £12.99 a box, the ones I use are one of the most expensive so I'll stick with them but every time I go to shop I'll get a box of the cheaper ones to try, I've got night vision on my 223 so check my zero regularly and it's getting expensive ?
  9. An here's me thinking my rifle would be good with any cheap ammunition ? My local shop as 23 different types of 223 ammunition so was just wondering what other people are having good results with, in 20+years of rifle shooting I've learnt nothing, until now. An I like cabbage ?
  10. What's everyone using? I've been using hornady superformance 53 grain at 28.99 a box of 20, used 4 rounds to get back to bull other day after cleaning the rifle so want to try something cheaper an I'm not home loading as i work an have enough hobbies ?
  11. That's what I use with my night vision spotter, the pulsar helion thermal is wireless and works through stream vision app so needs to be an iPad or similar. ?

  17. He's got the 243 at 499 an 223 at 529, looks like I'm goin shopping soon.
  18. I've got a howa in 223 an very happy with it, I've also got a 243 on my ticket an can't see any reason not to get the same gun in 243, also the 243 is cheaper than the 223, or spend double the money on something that looks good but dose the same job
  19. Didn't cut the bottom out of our plastic pipe due to not wanting anything extending it, our brick ones are solid floor also just quarter fill with muck to give the natural feel, also cut your plastic pipe in 2ft lengths as a dig is not always in the chamber and you need some sharp bends , something to slow the terrier down for a clear shot.
  20. Our plastic pipe artificial is one of the best we have, , although we've never had a litter in it in the recent snow it was being used by several different foxes, if I could get some more plastic pipe I would definitely use it
  21. All ours are u shaped so one gun can cover both entrances, they're made from bricks, slabs, concrete blocks, ones made with plastic pipe and holds regular, mostly it's a quick bolt but we do have to dig a few each season,we've also had a few litters of cubs in them and all of them are used by rabbits. This was a morning round the artificials.
  22. Time ya popped round for catch-up mate, I'm in tomorrow if ya fancy a brew
  23. Did you no the twins Barrie ? ( close friends of Bert), they've got some cracking old photos of him an his terriers.
