  2. welcome to the labour vote. . Lost me on that one mate, last thing i would ever do is vote labour, all i am saying is some of the posts on here would go well on a KKK WEBSITE, my point is some people are just playing into the hands of anti hunt groups by posting lynch mob statements.
  3. Looking through a lot of posts recently, there are a lot of semi racist posts on here. Now dont get me wrong i beleive immigration should have been controlled more rigorously many years ago, before the flood gates opened. But what you dont see much on here are threads about the native population of this country that are prepared to sit on their arses all day , milking an already overstretched benefit system, never having any intention of working for a living. Im sure this will hit a raw nerve with some people on here. [tough] But some people cant have much pride if their prepared to let joe pu

  8. Its a chance you take if you dont know the breeder, come to think of it i know people that know more about their dogs lineage than their own familys.
  9. A man that works whippets well and has experince, this is what we want to hear , not someone talking crap and has never owned or worked a whippet. COULD NOT AGREE MORE FRANK
  10. MY BEDDY WHIPPET HAD THE BEST NOSE OF ANY DOG IVE EVER OWNED IF IT MARKED YOU COULD BE SURE ONE WAS AT HOME. IT HAD MORE BOTTLE THAN A LOT OF DOGS TWICE ITS SIZE WHEN IT CAME TO TACKLING CHARLIE. ME IM A BIG FAN OF THIS CROSS.
  11. I run a second cross saluki whippet, and shes dynamite on rabbits, 21 inch and 30lbs. As for being too small to take hares just about any whippet in the 30lb range is capable. Can never understand why people knock them as in my opinion they are probably the most intelligent sighthound, provided they are off proven working lines.
  12. Whitby , robin hoods bay, north york moors, loads to see and do.
  13. Hows this for one. Back in the mid eighties, me and a mate had been on daytime bender, anyway trev was going to meet his girl up town. On leaving the pub he was moaning that he had gutache, so he jumps on the bus and shot upstairs, you could smoke on them in them days. Gets near the town centre and he got a chronic pain in the stomach, before he could move, his bowels opened up and he shit his self. Fortunately he was the only one on the upper deck, so trying to clean his self up, he wrapped the whole mess up in his underpants and threw it out of the back window, you know the escape door type.

  15. Know for a fact some of those writers are members of this site. Some threads are stolen and used in articles almost word for word, photography is done by some members as well.
  16. How often do you see a dog for sale aged between 8 to 18 months or even older, with the words ready for work, or needs bringing on. Or in some cases works day night, retreives to hand 100% genuine. Now call me a cynical old fart, but that would start alarm bells ringing. More often then not what that means is the dog for one reason or another hasnt made the grade, probably entered too young, or ruined in the hands of some inexperienced clown. Who would sell a fully trained dog for the knock down price of say£200. If you put a true value on a dog of say 18 months, the number of hours spent tra
  17. Collie crosses take some beating, personal preference to the type of ground your running, i like a dash of beddy in my dogs, adds that bit of fire.
  18. With you on that one, dont forget a trip to fortunes kipper smoker.
  19. Talking in the pub the other night, got round to which part of the uk did most people like, mine has got to be nth yorks in fact most places north of leeds seemed to score pretty highly. Not trying to start a civil war but what do you reckon north or south. Or do you prefer ireland or wales.
  20. Kept dogs for quite a few years, got a whippet with a dash of saluki in the lineage, best little rabbiter ive ever owned turbo charged, with the heart of a lion. Also got a collie grey beddy grey which is coming on well. Like shooting ,fishing ,ferreting, lamping, you name it so long as im outside. Used to belong to 2 coursing clubs, sadly gone by the board. Just landed some permission to die for, more rabbits than watership down, sandy soil easy digging, nearest road is a mile away, no wire just hedges easy for the dogs to get through, would take a fortnight to ferret all round it, anyway nic
