  1. a reply from a guy who knows NV gear inside out. They are an amazing piece of shite. I bought one and couldn't shoot anything due to my tears of laughter at it's complete an utter over hyped claims. I sent it back to BSA optics as faulty and they returned it saying it was in perfect working order. I have since written to BSA optics on 3 occasions requesting they arrange a demonstration of their claims of quarry identification at up to 250 yards. Unsurprisingly my request has fallen on deaf ears. I suspect it is due to the lack of fluorescent orange elephants in the country
  2. have you been using a motor with a gearbox? as have tested mine for 8hrs each day and all ok so far although I doubt anyone would be in the field for a continuous 8hrs Im sure a remote would work, if using a external 6 volt supply, Im not electronic minded enough to know how it would be wired up though Some ood work there stubby mate, been looking into starting something like this myself but you've beaten me to it. i only though of doing this because the gu in the unit next door to mine does flocking and would flock shells for me on the cheap. keep it up mate cant wait to see

Thanks Bill, i cant really bad mouth HC they fixed my gun for free when it could of cost me £££'s i'll have a look at the hammer spring see if i can have a play around with that see what happens. to be honest tho i think its going to have to go to a gun smith, id rather be safe in the knowledge my guns legal than locked up for a firearms offence. ATB Dom Hi Dom. The very nature of the repair could have some bearing on your problem. There could be some small particules of swarf kicking about inside the valve?? Bill. You could have a good point the

  9. Get knocking on his door!!!!! its not about the money the guy has taken the piss, deserves a slap if he dont sort it out and pay you what your owed. i couldnt sleep at night knowing someones had my pants down, id have been down there no matter what the cost of fuel or train fare. ATB REDEYE
  10. Thanks for the reply Simon, the only reason i thought it might be over power was because of the low shot count. I thought a chrono could tell me fps and the ftlb im running at? My nearest airgun dealer is over an hour away and i dont get any time during the day to get there during normal opening hours i was hoping it'd be something simple or a common fault that i could try before either buying a chrono this weekend or sending off to A&M for investigation. 11. Thanks bill, that was going to be my next question if I couldn't get to the source of the problem with advice given on here. ATB Dom
  12. Hi gents, I got my hw100 back from Hull cart on friday. It was in for re-sleaving & threading of the valve housing and air cylinder. I sent the said items plus barrel and silencer. Ive got a slight leak on the air cylinder (going back to HC to be fixed) but on sunday when i tried to zero the shots were all over the place. Zero range was 30 yards inside a green house so wind was not an issue. I was using a spare cylinder that wasnt leaking. I could get 2 shots almost pellet on pellet but then the next few would be either a mill dot left or right or low Ive checked the silencer and there'
  13. Hi Bill, yeah was over the moon when they said it'd be done under warrenty. the screws are 6mm with a 1mm pitch went down to my mates engineering shop and got a few sorted. i'll be ordering the correct screws on monday morning but these have done the job for now. So glad to have it back, its been broken in the cabinet for 8 months. now i can use my S200 .177 for use with my night sight and my HW .22 for day time. If only this rain would bugger off so i can get her zero'd and back in action. ATB REDEYE
  14. Well guys today i got my hw100 valve housing and cylinder back from hull cart, the threads had stripped on both items. even though the gun is a 2004 model and i wasnt the original purchaser they did the work under warrenty all i paid for was postage to hull cart. got a call from them yesterday to say its in the post all fixed and tested for leaks, a week sooner than expected so well done HC. parts arrived at 0630 this morning i was away working so the mrs had to sign for it Got back this evening and started to reassemble it, all good unitll i found ive lost the screws that holds the
  15. Totally agree mate first and second should be the guys who have posted photos and a write up as stated in the entry conditions. look at the prizes on offer, they aint some £2.99 trophy from fleebay and if you cant be bothered to put up a photo then surely you dont want to win very much. Well done TJ for putting this together and well done all those that entered. ive cast my vote. ATB REDEYE

  17. yep no doubt hw100 one of the quietest on the market, ive also seen reviews of the twink mk2 on a hw100 and the twink was louder. the twink and hw silencers are very well made and so closly matched it all goes on personal preference ie looks and cost. IMO. ATB Dom

  19. that makes 2 of us matey.. the sh*te i come out with i wouldnt give me permission Most of the time i'll come straight to the point and say ive come to control some pests for you if you'll give me the permission, i show them some shooting insurance and references names, contact numbers for who i already do some pest control for. one farm i asked permission on the landowner was trying to put a large boat on a trailer with a crane in high winds wasnt going well as i walked up so with out even stopping him working to indroduce myself i just cracked on and helped him load the boat on. took

Yes karpman i do like this gun, i was thinking of selling it when the HW gets back but being .177 its so much better to shoot at night so its got a good home in the cabinet for a few year yet. Thanks Ron, 2 in one day was a great result. ive got a few more places to ask about so watch this space. ATB Dom
