  1. Hello mate, With regards to my over post, if you cant do any of the suggestions why dont you just take the silencer off when its going in the bag? might be the way to go, Rob.
  2. v mach is steve pope who used to run venom tuning. barrel shortening is always a funny sublect with people for and against it.i've had my 95 cut and recrowned with no loss of accuracy.its no louder and recoils is no more(does have a v mach stage one and an evooution silencer fitted though)my barrel was 410mm and is now 275mm(11") apparently,a pellet only accelerates in the first 8" or so of a barrel so no power loss should occur. That's right bud, No loss of accuracy or power with the barrel reduction, that's why there are carbines available, for a .22 9" barrel is plenty, as for the
  3. Hello mate, Here,s one of mine, linseed oil finish, nothing else, but there is a knack to it, only use the tip of your finger with the tiniest amount and work it in well, leave to dry for about four hours then pick the stock up with both hands and rub it all over, (sounds mad but trust me) it should fill like there,s hardly any oil on it, then leave it over night, I done mine for about five days but on some hot days I did manage to get a couple of coats on, this stock had a very light walnut ting to it before oiling, I hope this helps, all the best, Rob. PS If you get stuck PM me and

  5. Hello Tom from Darlington, Welcome to the forum, Rob.
  6. Good lad, you know it makes sense, lol. Have a good night, all the best Rob.
  7. Well if you intend to eat the heart then yes, but as for the gutting why would it get messy, you put your hand in and you pull out the same innards, there might be some more blood but it wont in anyway spoil the meat, when I go hunting for the pot I want my meat to be as good as possible, so other than the ribs having a hole and some bruising you wouldn't know the difference, the same as when you shoot a deer heart and lungs shots are always the recommendation, but each to there own, all the best bud, Rob.
  8. Try a heart shot? When ever I have the opportunity for a side on shot I never go for the head, unless that's all I can see, I always go for the heart, just behind the shoulder and slightly low and your bang on. I have found over the years this shot to take rabbits 9 times out of 10, instantly, the odd one that does seem to run off lasts only a couple of yards and then falls. Its the same for squirrels up trees, if I get a front on shot the cross hairs go in the middle of the chest, and this seems to lift them in the air and always dead on the ground, This method was shown to me years ago

  10. Hello mate, With regards to your question about airguns FPE in France the reason its so low is that you are not allowed to kill any animal with one, including all vermin? so there classed more or less as toys, however if you want one that exceeds the legal limit just like the UK you need to put it on a ticket, but because you cant kill anything with the higher power one either no one bothers with air guns, once your a resident of France getting a .22 single shot rimmy and or a 12g shot gun are very easy, up until a couple of years ago you could buy a rimmy nigh on anywhere, the only restri

  12. Hello mate, I can vouch for these Brococks, 300 quid new with a silencer and gun slip, here,s mine, I have refinished the dire stock, but that's only because I like doing that, I also changed the barrel to a 24" little number, but as a standard rifle you will put pellet on pellet at 35/40 yards, and get plenty of shots per fill, this is only my opinion and there are better PCP,s out there, but for your budget I'm sure you would get one second hand, hope this helps, all the best, Rob..
  13. youll be strugglin for a good airifle at £120 unless your not bothered about it being spring powered! save up around £500 for a decent setup its well worth it. Whats wrong with spring powerd??? nothing some people just carnt handle a little bit of recoil and fall over backwards LOL, What makes me laugh is that nowadays some shooters dont know there born, with all these PCP,s I can still remember trying to cock my first rifle braking out in a sweat only to be told it was an underlever model, what a knob, lol,

  15. Thats a tiddy bit of kit you have there bud, love the end cap, let us know how she performs, all the best, Rob.
  16. well Waz, basically over the years we have had authorities contact us with regards information on certain people. This can be for all manner of reasons, all of which will be illegal. However, Ian has not given any information away and neither does he have to. I know a while ago there was something to do with Veternary supplies. Now after Ginger French getting a stretch you could safely assume no one would be daft enough....but they are. Either way, no information was forthcoming to any uniformed person. So basically, just carry on posting within the law and everything will be hunk
  17. you shoot a rimmy into the air??? glad I dont live near you bud, lol, Rob.
  18. Hello mate, If its just a little scratch then these pens do an OK job, but it depends where the mark is, to do a full re blue on your gun isn't a quick job, i,ve done a few in my time and there,s a lot of work involved, another way of doing a scratch is by using an indelible marker pen, that's all we used years ago, and done right you get a very good finish, hope this helps, Rob,

Mate you dont need a new valve, all you need is a O ring, and the same for your bolt, you can get plenty of quality one,s from people of the web just google co2 O rings, or to get you out of trouble go down to B&Q they have plenty to not as long lasting but like I said gets you ou

  22. Hello mate, Get in touch with Maccari in the USA they do after market springs that fit nigh on all makes, very good value and make, there all I use, other than V-mach, which come in complete kit form, and a bit on the dear side, so if its only a spring you need give them a look, also fella if your going to change the spring then get a piston seal from them as well, again there no money, I never change a spring without changing the seal, and after giving the rifle a nice new lubing, anyway hope this helps, if you need any help drop me a pm, all the best bud, Rob..
  23. I suppose it depends on who you support, I'm old time west ham and I knew all the old boys including Cass, and i think truth be told there both a million miles away from how it was, watch Cass and read his books that's about as it was, still both great films for a watch,, Rob.
  24. just to add, i wonder how many cops will get caught drink driving this year?? last year they were sitting outside each others work partys waiting for them to come out.... That's a good point bud,, because we all know that truth be told very few of us can say we have never done it,, the difference with the coppers is they would never admit it,, with regards to SS is thread I think a lot of it is down to educating people at a very young age.. I mean look at the ages of the people he is talking about, barely out of school, I'm not saying that I in anyway condone there actions but it makes yo
  25. yeah i've fited them, they usually have a lot less preload so are easy to fit and run smoothly Bryan exactly what im looking for mate,i found the recoil using ox and titans just wasnt worth it.The rifle(diana 52)is running smooth at the moment just a bit down on power(10.2 ft lbs)but to be honest the mainspring is as weak as hell Hello mate, V-MACH, do two versions for your rifle UK legal and FAC, Ive used them both and the kits are the dogs wobbly bits, if you know how to tune your rifle without all the kit then you can get a stand alone spring from maccari in the USA for your Diana
