  1. in one of your previous posts / topics you are looking for a whippet bitch and you said you have a sire and he only cost you £ with peddigree papers ..... is this the same dog ????
  2. you got it wrong lads. I wasnt asking to bred him becasue of what he is doing... Just for the dog he is, we get asked quite abit if we would line him, thats all. I dont want a pup out of him. If anything we want to bring the size down. And we arent bothered if he bred tomorrow or 5 yrs. Was just offering him out as young fit big bullx with a heart that will die for you.. He may jack tomorrow, he may die tomorrow, who knows. Desperate, he has already lined a bitch mate. We wont be having a pup. so you've lined a bitch with a sapling stud dog that has seen very little work you don'
  3. good post this one .... back in the days when i kept digging terriers i used to use a bull x for pulling but when the bull x was laid up with injuries i would either shoot quarry in the block end or if i was releasing them i've pulled them meself by the scruff and let em go to be dug another day .... why the need for the big dog to do the pulling is what i started to wander . also i'd like to add that just because a dog is scarred up at a young age does not make it a useful stud dog i say this because i have personally witnessed such dogs in the field fail .... one such dog was 3 years ol
  4. Original post, where does it say anything about breeding for himself or taking a pup from him????????? Send 3 and 4d where going to a dance!!!!!!!!!! so it's ok to stud a young dog out for cash in your book is it ........ or is the stud for free
  5. Rifle point blank is much more humane or a bolt gun, rather than a bucket of drink at birth they don't know the difference between a nice warm belly and a nice warm bucket of water aye but the problem is you cannae always tell a good 'un at birth seems to me that you've missed the point i was making .... if the guy breeds the dog at his present age (2 years old) is he going to sell the pups if yes i would say he is no more than a peddler , on the other hand if he is going to keep say 2 or 3 for himself and cull the rest then he is doing the right thing by joe public because

  7. nice dog , he might well throw some use full pups ... personally speaking i think he is to young to be a stud dog . but then if the owner is happy to breed him that's his affair and nowt to do with anyone else ...... however ... i do have a question for the owner of this fine animal .... if you breed a litter for your own use would you sell the pups ?? or would you keep what you want for yourself and put the rest in a bucket of water ??
  8. some good looking dogs on this thread .... good luck with your future litter a good x breeding there i would say
  9. Had it put to sleep for breaking its toes, what a nob head. what else was he to do with the dog , maybe advertise it on the internet as a top class worker and sell it for ££££ .... i think the correct course of action was taken in putting the dog to sleep Lets hope you don't break your toes, end of. end of what? How many lurchers have to owned. And how many have you owned that you have spent lots of money on to no avail... Been around lurchers for 26 years, and my dad as been breeding /working lurchers 52 years and we both are learning something new every year

  17. good post , i know exactly where your coming from . i've been there .... arseholes just taking the p**s . i find the best way is hard cull at birth !!! be selfish and keep what you want yourself !!! you won't go far wrong you don't need a whole litter so why give the bitch all that hard work of feeding them and then there is the cost of weaning and feeding them , wormers and vacines ...... b*ll*x i say hard cull is best
  18. good post mate , i had a lwb series 2a a few years back that had the above conversion , except mine was not turbo . but it still had plenty of pull and driven sensibly ( around a steady 50 mph ) i was getting 30 mpg .... i still regret selling it
  19. personally i allways treat the straw myself and never have any problems .... them bags your buying are a bit pricey try asking a local farmer to sell you a bale .....£3 or maybe £4 per bale
