Yes Micks salukis are behind a lot of coursing salukis. Wiburs, John Lennons and of course they also figure at the back of Dancers breeding.

I mated my nearly half desertbred saluki, Goldie, to a dog I'd got off Alan S. called Max. Max had been injured and would always end up lame after a run, which is why I was able to get him because Alan told me he was the best male lurcher he'd ever had and had previously turned down very good money for the dog. Max was out of Dancer by T.M.'s Smokey Above is a shot of Willow and Bucko aged about 8 weeks suckling. They were still at the milk bar at 12 or 13 weeks old any time they got the opportunity.

Small world poacher, below is a young 3/4 saluki x 1/4 greyhound dog i had off Mick Taylor about 20 years ago. I never lamped him though. Thanks to my friend Optimus for sending me this long forgotten snap just this past summer.

Nothing planned Snoopdog. My pal Tom has her now, out in the country with plenty of space all around. If something special comes to the surface stud dog wise I think he could be persuaded, bearing in mind the present legal situation changes what we may be looking for.

Another, more modern form of religious indoctrination, and far more sinister....

Mates pure saluki bred by J.L. from Khan Jihad and a daughter of his old Star bitch.

She was 14 months in that photo.....she's 7 1/2 now and retired. But I have a nice "plodder" bred bitch pup out of her, one year old today as it happens.

This paragraph expresses pretty much word for word the opinion that I held in the late 60's when I was almost alone in arguing the case for atheism at our school debating sessions. But there are a lot of very clever people who do believe in one of the various forms of superstitious doctrine. They do so not BECAUSE of their intellect but in SPITE of it. It's no accident that the major religions of the world seek out the very young to begin the brainwashing process before the child has developed the capacity for rational thought on a level any deeper than that required for survival. Taken from another forum.....but I did get permission to use it. Does the Old Testament need to be updated! « on: September 26, 2010, 05:37:19 PM »Quote In her radio show, Dr Laura Schlesinger said that, as an observant Orthodox Jew, homosexuality is an abomination according to Leviticus 18:22, and cannot be condoned under any circumstance. The following response is an open letter to Dr. Laura, penned by a US resident, which was posted on the Internet. It's funny, as well as informative: Dear Dr. Laura: Thank you for doing so much to educate people

I think if a hare survives a fright by soughing once then it's more likely to try the same ruse again the next time it's under pressure. But that doesn't mean the trait will be inherited by the offspring. You can bring a newborn baby from French parents to be raised in England by English foster parents, but it won't grow up speaking French.

Yes I saw him many times, both at trials and earlier when he was owned by D.G. in the North. Saw him bank his game several times. A very good Wheaten dog.

I have to add that I don't subscribe to the notion of aggressive atheism either. I just don't believe in a supernatural creator. That doesn't mean I'm a communist or an eco evangelist. It wasn't atheists who were burning heretics at the stake nor stoning young girls who objected to being married off to cousins etc.

Just because a hypothesis can't be disproved is no reason to believe it. Take for an example the celestial teapot theory put forward by Bertrand Russell. He suggested that if there was a teapot orbiting the sun between say, Mercury and Venus, we wouldn't be able to see it and therefore could neither prove nor disprove it's existence. The burden of proof lies with the believer. I don't have to disprove something for which there is no scientific evidence, in the same way I don't need to disprove the existence of Thor or Ba'al or thousands of other man made gods.

Here's a link that may give food for thought........ to anyone who wants to think...! http://whywontgodhealamputees.com/ For those who don't....well you could always surrender your intellect to the local shaman, minister or priest.

But Bert, those same questions can be asked of the God theory. Who or what created him/it and what was there before God? Anyhow there have been thousands of Gods worshiped and feared by peoples from all over the world throughout history and most of us don't believe in many of them. The difference between an atheist like me and the pope is that I believe in one less God than he does.

This does my head in too Buttermilk. I've heard so many people disparage Saluki bred lurchers during the time that I was travelling back and forth to England to go out with loads of different fen runners, trying to learn which types of bloodlines might mix well to produce a dog that could do the job both here and in Lincs/Cambs. Then I retired a bitch that I had bred from two of these dogs I had acquired,to a pal who lives out in the sticks on breeding terms. When he bred her, you'd be amazed how the saluki hating crabbers came out of the woodwork hoping to get on the cheap, breeding which had

The Mulben dogs are showbred wheatens, as opposed to the field tested types guys.

Well the Diddycye prefix belongs somewhat south of the border but there was that breeding in one of the dogs I posted.
