I was just about to ask if any one raced and worked there whippets. And how they were? Did you race first or work first? Cheers Weedy. -

Now you have to put in a url. and all that malarcky, does this mean you have to up load to a holding site like robbing photo bucket? Cheers Weedy

Good on ya! I've been a bit lazy today. I might have a mooch tomorrow. Like the partion you've put in the bak of your truck. Thats given me an idea to do somethin similar in mine. Cheers Weedy

They are a cracking litter Dickies dogz, All the best with her? Let me know how she gets on. Cheers Weedy

Yes, I see where you are coming from, that thought has crossed my mind too, the only thing I would say is that in nature the animal has evolved naturally to suit it's NATURAL surroundings. With domestic dogs us humans have used years of selective breeding to basically make an animal in to what we want it and that can bring problems, if you look at the greyhound it's very unlikely an animal like this would ever have developed in this way naturally, injuries in the wild would make sure of that....you're right though...food for thought and I do agree with you to some extent! atb Mr jones

I'm no expert but have had and been bought up with dogs all of my life. No one man or dog are the same, differant training methods and dogs responces make for how they and us work together as a teams to reach whatever the aquiered goal is. Be it rabbits or whatever. But, one thought I look upon when reading the debates on entering lurchers is that who holds up the african hunting dog in its wild enviroment? Where is its natural starting point? When do the parents say your such and such an age you can't or you can come out today? Nature tells them doesn't it? Just a bit of food for thought.

its not ma pup mate and a never said anything about not doin retrieving with the dog atb Sorry johnbhoy! its getting late and been a hard day at work, I read the posts wrong way round.
-
Nice lookin pup robbielisa! You should find it easier than a gundog to train. retreiving is just as imortant in a lurcher as in a gundog so don't change anything in that respect. Cheers Weedy.

how big will they make?and are they pure? Sorry caspa for the delay in reply. There as pure as they get without being kc registered. the the best thing you could do is give the lad a ring. I'd of thought they would make around the 20-21 inches just like there parents. Oh and there are only two bitches left now folks, the black one on the far left and sandy fawn one right of the centre. Cheers Weedy.

Didn't see this thread here but replied to it in the for sale section. Cheers Weedy.

Call me daft, thick, or just ignorant but that doesn't seem to be a price that you would set for a litter marked for ya own use. I don't disspute that prices vary considerably and some people set prices high to avoid messers and pedlers, but £350/£400 . May be the breeding in the bitches lines means somthing to some people, but what is that if your only going to put it to local known hero? Look please don't take this the wrong way and I'm only voicing my own opoin. If your family member is worried about being left with pups he doesn't realy want, then he has answered his question with the q

That is a smashing looking dog taffyboi , I appreciated your honesty in your add and could tell you clearly care for where this dog goes to. Again all the best in finding him a home . Weedy.
-
Hi taffyboi, I've seen the dealer names hovering over this thread and yoiu know who you are! Mate do us all a favour and put up a pic so we can spot the dog in future. Or he'll end up a cripple in the hands of inexperienced fools. All the best Weedy.

I don't write often on here just like to read realy. It don't matter what you pay for your beast its how you look after it that counts. Clearly this guy don't want to see it banded about from pillar to post. Fair enough ther are some idiots on here that seem to think that dogs are like toys and that they do exactley as they say on the tin "add". Wake up! You will only ever get out what you put in. In my book there ain't no such thing as a bad dog only crap handlers. Cheers Weedy.

Hi leannelurcher, Saw your first thread on selling bailey and was impressed with your honesty. Can't beleave someone wud try and buy a dog from a mates relitive with dogey cash ! What a prick. Hope your brother sorted him good . Any way gal good on ya at least you went and got bailey back and stopped him getting passed around. Finding time to train him may be a bit difficult at first but I'm sure you have the determination to sort him. He is still young enough to learn. All the best Weedy.
