  1. I've made my own nets for years now, but when I first started with them I used garden twine to practice with. Almost like using hemp, and I prefer using hemp too. the three ply stuff is my prefered choice. I have knitted nets using a thread call tiger thread that they use in saddlery its very strong and makes some realy good netts but is expensive. They are my favourite nets of all. Cheers Weedy.
  2. Brimmer I so simpathise with you! Taking the old man with you. Its like going back to school. You have to wonder if they relise that you have been out on your own since you left home. It is hard work and some one has to do it lol . Got to take mine out on sunday . I just know I will be pulling out my hair before the end of the morning, but I wouldn't have it any other way. If it weren't for his occational encouragement (interferance)I would have made many more mistakes than I have. You know what the scarery thing is brim? We end up doing exactly what ther doing now. Driving our own kids
  3. I know my opoin might not count for much at the mo. being new and all that, but compare that price to a fully trained gundog. a springer or lab, say! You would be paying a damn sight more than 400 quid I know. I don't think some people relise just how much work goes into a dog to get it to the standard that this particular dog is at now. Cheers Weedy.
  4. Hi ratmogit. My first post on this site my friend, I'm more of a reader than a writer. However I see that your trying to do a good turn for someone so have a bump on me. If I wasn't already bringing on a pup I'd of been there, they look cracking pups and sound like they have a good mix of the right thing. Cheers Weedy
