  1. do you know what measurements the collar is ? and how much do you want for it(posted)? cheers rob
  2. most healthy offal is great for all meat eaters, get on and work them with a friend so you can see all the holes and save up for a locator or go with a mate who has one. dry food isnt the devil mate i think a mix of both is a good healthy diet atb rob
  3. is that the one which is just a short length of ppipe with one end covered in chicen wire so the bird goes in bt cant get out? if so i suppose it could work if you could encourage them to feed, you would need a slightly smaller pipe than for pheasants and stuff worth a try i guess.
  4. a good study run with a nice warm house box raised up from the cold is great and easy to clean if you use a good concrete mix and slant it for proper drainage unlike my stupid self who now has to cap the surface lol this is how i keep my colliexspringer hes my first dog but he is really happy out there and he has his own space where he can be safely locked up away from theiving hands. he is always out when i am home though because its no fun beig stuck inside all of the time. atb with the kennel and if you need some pictures i can put some up, its by no means perfect but it was cheap
  5. bloody good price for the rabbit, had you gutted them already or not? you sould have thrown one of them at the dick on the bike to knock him off. and think yourself lucky i was out onsome apparently 'pickled' ground and managed 1! hard earned rabbit
  6. always the way mate, you never have the right tool with you when you go out for a mooch. thats why i want a quad, cover more ground and rack up all the guns on the front ready for whatever is about. better luck next time
  7. few nice rabbits and a good morning out. should keep the farmer happy and a couple left for another go now you know where all the holes are. are those nets spun poly? they look good for not snagging up. we lost a few on sunday because of nets snagging on crap.
  8. get one of those bricks that has a triangular trough on one side, and use that, they can't knock it over if they try
  9. adding cambden tablets is adding nasties mate, au naturel is best. if you add the yeast early on you dont need to kill of the natural yeast as the prestarted added one will become dominant. if you are going to use yeast, use proper cider yeast but natural is better imo cultured yeasts are good forv acheiveing fairly consistant tastes and results. stay away from sulphates and sulphides as much as possible good luck with it though mate and i may only be 17 but i hav been making cider since i could walk and we have won many acalades and prizes atb rob
  10. bloody hell tomo that is tiny, how long did it take you to breed one that small? i would like some smallish kits for next year but with the tenacity and stamina qualities of my polecat hob so i am trying to get a nice little jill ready for breeding next year atm harder than it sounds being as not many people want to sell a nice little jill. atb with the season rob
  11. i've heard that too. i read somewhere they have a much higher testostoroune level (yes i cant spell) lol there was a report of them working in packs and attackingh and killing a stray dog in a park in russia, they were also seen carrying flesh away in their mouths by eye witnesses but then again they were russian
  12. cracking offer chap, i think thats a bit far but good on you for that. thanks a lot
  13. my apologies shadowz i didn't realise. im sure there are more than enough people on here that would take some off your hands. where abouts are you located? awesome setup by the way them ferrets live better than me atb rob
  14. thats actually a really good idea, i might have to have a look into that. but i think the wood mighht work out quite expensive. the one i think you got a loody bargain there mate you should have bought the load and sold them on. atb rob
  15. i think you are being rather flattering of my ferreting abilities mate, its just a hobby which doesnt really fill the freezer, but there are ways i can get the rabbits, dont dogs need other meats though, not just rabbit? thanks so far guys
  16. my only worry is the small size might mean they shit and eat in the same place and i dont want to be cleaning it out 2 or three times a day
  17. i'm more interested to how many ferrets he has!
  18. if they can't, the link above is great too atb with it rob
  19. ive got a chrombo thing which does the sumsbut that pellet ifo is great anyway. thanks!
  20. i was just a bit worried about them escaping, but if its been done before i guess thats no problem. i will have to get myself one then because i dont think my mum would be too happy about me knicking the cat's one (unless the smell would come out with bleach?) i was originally thinking about a dog crate or something but i think the meshes might be too big thanks for the help guys. atb rob
  21. i have been invited to a friend permission which is about 50 miles away for a couple of days hitting the pest population on a veg farm hard. this will entail the stinkers for good hard day on the rabbits as well as some day time and lamping shooting with both the air rifles and the shotties being as there are a lot of problem pheasants on there. anyways as i will be staying over for a couple of days the stinker are going to need some form of temporary accomodation for the duration of the stay as they cant be living in there ferret box for all that time, i was wondering what the best thing
  22. well ive ordered some genuine bsa breech seals today of evil bay for a princely sum of £3.10 so once i have them fitted it should be fine, the stock is looking great and although the spring looked a bit warped the gun is still putting some oldschool eley wasps striaght through beer tins at 15 yards which aint too bad might still turn up a nice nylon spring guide and top hat to let the spring rotate on compression and release which will in theory give a faster and smoother release of pressure. atb with your meteor gollum and i think this pack of seals has three in so if i have one left
  23. from experience with other springers, bsa meteor and gamo magnum, you will need some pin drifts (flat ended punches), a couple of screwdrivers, light gun oil 3 in 1 is good, petrol to clean of grubby greasy bits some fine sandpaper, scotchbrite and a few rags. plus some patience. just be organised and keep all small bits like pins and seals in bit bins or tupperware containers. if you rub down the stock and oil it it will look good too a good tip is to make a cleaning rod from stiff wire like welding rod and twist a loop in the end, shove rag through the loop, dunk it in petrol
  24. has anyone got one they would think of selling, my hw90 is a bit below power and could do with a top up of about a ft/lb. if anyone would consider lending me one i would pay for postage but i can understand someone not being overly trusting on an internet forum or is there anyone in the south somerset area that has one i could borrow as i could then pick it up in person thanks in advance regards atb rob
