    i recently read (i can't remember where) that it is now illegal to buy silencers by mail order, is this true? as i want one to fit my ratty and i have no local gun shops

    the advantage of that knot is it self tensions, can be tied in a second and undone easily but i see you point

    Hi rob the safety catch supplied by trapworks .co.uk sound very much like the safety catch I designed several years ago. At the time, I was trapping rats. using 110 and 116 bodygrip traps I found the safety on them was too cumbersome and caught up on the traps and caused mis-fires.So I designed a small safety catch made from thin (1mm) stainless wire. this comprises of a piece of wire 4" long it is folded into a U shape. in the middle of the U you form a 1/2" circle in the wire. On the two ends of the wire you form 2 1/4 "circles. These are the opposite way round to the one in the middle.

    its a nylon with a kinnd of waxy finish which stops it slipping i have watched the video again and i havev just finished my 3rd row

    so your asking for help with your snaring and at the same time giving advice to others ???? only pointing out things that others may have missed but there is always room to learn isnt there moley and i for one would rather learn from others experience, so are you offering or just complaining?

    get a different gun if you want a good range these are only good for short range, get a springer like BSA lightning

    look at the pinned section on fox snaring and quick anchors etc but something a read in a book i have called moddern vermin contron was to attach the snare to a large fencing stake so the fox can pull it away but if its on grass it will leaves a huge trail which you can follow to the fox. you could just attach the swivel to the fence / gate with galvanised wire aS well hope that is of some help rob

    them look just the ticket does the trap just res either side of the lat? and where can i get some of that 3x1" mesh from ive run out of 1"square and the only stuff i can get now is thin and flimsy and the only stuff i can borrow is 2x2 and completely unrelated would 2x2" mesh work for a rabbit trap or could they squeeze through?

    i have watched rabbiteers video and tried to make a net with some makeshit kit i made igot the 1st line on the ring and i was chuffed i only did 12 loops ? if this is right i dont know i dont ferret i just wanted to try out of interest but after i tied the second row i pulled a loop and i changed shape have i done it wrong or is this normal i must watch that video again thanks rob

    get a deban tracker u wont go wrong logun lamp is just the job at that price , but raise a couple of quid more and and get a cluson shootalite i got one and it is officially the3 mutts nutts

    holdaway did not come up with that idea at all again its been copied but the original idea including the shape of that saftey was first thought up by master hunter from this forum fair enough my mistake credit where credit is due well done maaster hunter good idea !

    just snare with your standard 5.5x7.5 inches loop or the size of the hole but place the snare so the rabbit feet can pass under im sure someone has a pic but basically have the snare the same size and place as the hole but a couple of inches higher. hope that helps and someone puts up a pic rob

    this isthe part that regulates the gas flow and punctures the gas canister does anyone know where i can get another one as the rubber seal on this is also worn and leaking.??? thanks rob

    here is the gun in quesrion 5 mins of work and its stripped the pictures show the dissassembled gun then the bolt with said Oring and the crappy silencer

    i'm only 16 so i only have my mum to shout at me fro the washing line thing atm but i kno they have catches on the spring the point is that these are shit and the trap still bites you hence why holdaway came up with a new system speed dip looks too pricey does anyone know whats in it i could have a go at making some

    looks a nice gun but the O ring i'm on about is the one on the bolt as gas i escaping that way when fired, has anyone converted a normal ratty to take the king cylinders if so is it easy/expensive/worth it?

    christ thats hardcore rat catching i had nothing last night the rats seem to be more interested in nthe poison than apple so i put that on the plate its win win if bthe trap doesnt go off they get poisoned if it does they die

    due to the relative success of the "nottingham snarer" topic and a need to learn more iwas wondering if there are any snarers in the somerset area who would mind showing me the ropes i could travel and am will to work hard. anybody help? i'm near taunton and bridgwater but i might be able to travel thanks rob

    looks like i will have to get some more traps by the look of the signs i've seen where did you get yours from im after mk4s and i don't mind if they are springers cos they are grea, but im a little short on the notes after xmas shopping

    looks good mate i had 12 last night ! i had nothing last night cos i forgot to put he tunnel on to chanel them over because the compost heap is completly covered. how many traps are you running?
