Very sad for the owners, but what is their dog doing wandering around unfenced communal gardens. If a dog can not be kept on the individual owners property then the home provided for the dog was not adequate. The problem was not the bees but the dogs owner who should accept personal responsibility (something few people want to do nowerdays) and stop this daft petition. Silly people!

I am working on a job at the moment at a mill house. In the mill pond they want to install a submersible pump which will supply a tap to water a vegetable garden which is about 10 metres away and about 2 metres higher than the pond. They idealy would like the pump to automatically turn on when the tap is opened, I think it is called negative head operated? Are there any switching devices which can do this? Or is there another way ie non-submersible pump as there is a weatherproof pump shelter also. Thanks for any advice Andy

Swampy You're soooooooo correct. Especially in regards to the lack of class and reverse snobbery. I realised before I made the OP that the Neanderthal types would never manage to grasp the basic concept. Those over shot brows and dragging appendages come with a heavy burden on the intellectual front.Perhaps that might help explain their propensity to wear chavy-cammo everywhere they go. Get someone to chance upon you when out walking, tell them to shout very loud at the dog 'no' as it jumps up them, if the dogs very bold a rolled up newspaper could be incorporated.. Never tried it, but may work. -

Well that's easy to say when you've just payed euro but if you'd have paid nearer the 1000 euro which you could well have done round here then I'm sure you opinion would be a lot different! There needs to be some kind of standard fees for treatment and set percentage mark ups on medication. It's not like you can run about getting quotes in an emergency.
