  3. A TRUE TERRIERMAN, FAIRPLY DIGBERT
  4. HH,Ur away off the mark saying that the standard of working terrier is low. From my experience of Terrier men,the ones that talk the most, usually are the ones that keep and breed shit and are only in it for the easy money. The true honest TERRIERMEN work in close tight groups, keep their terriers and themselves to themselves.Alot of trust has to be built up before u would be invited out for a dig and rightly so! To be honest if a person is genuine and hardworking enough it is easy enough to come in contact with these true honest TERRIERMEN, and it would not be long before u would see genune hones

  7. Hi lads. Went out tody to check some earths.I had my old working bitch and a 20 month old young bitch. Got a strong mark from both terriers at last earth of the day so i collared up young bitch and away she went. I could hear her sounding away out under the field and the B&f said .8. As this was her first time to ground and meeting charlie i was well chuffed. After about 15 mins to ground she took a hold and then it all went wrong. terrier showed to me out the mouth and would not return to ground. Ah fck i taught he bolted.collared up my old bitch then and dug to her with a good hold of ch

  14. Well done lads. The same thing happened to me last season with the B&F collar. i dug 4ft and broke tru to find only the collar in the tube. i eventually found my terrier working away agood distance from where i was at a depth of 3ft.was lucky to find her as she is silent worker. i punched an extra hole in the collar so when its joined i put a small plastic tie tru both holes so it definately cant open. atb shovel
  15. There is nothing worse than when u go to check an earth and find the dig left opened and the earth ruined. :realmad: The low lifes that do this are real scum, they have no respect for the land or our sport and do serious harm to genuine terriermen. They should be made dig a hole, be dropped inside there and BACKFILL over the f**kers!!
  16. I usually use a cotton bud with some luke warm water and very gently clean the eyes thoroughly. if u know any farmer ask him for a mastitis tube which is used for cows. use a small bit of this cream in the eye every 3 or 4 days.it prevents infection.this stuff is also great for wounds and heals them very quickly.atb shovel
  17. Great pictures. I have often heard of a terrier killing a cat but yer cats over there are slightly bigger
  18. He was a clever dog ive asked that myself on occassion no-one seemed to know, was he not half border or there abouts?. he looks a tiny dog in the pictures. had another look at miner on www.hurricanekennels.com pictures show a different dog to the dog i taught was Miner. He looks a nice sturdy little dog. Ideal for fox work!
  19. He was a clever dog Thanks Misty.I saw a photo of miner on the net and he looks a fine stamp of terrier. seems alot bigger than my bitch. She can be severe for a smallish bitch but im not complaining
  20. some of my bitches are line bred back to Nutalls Miner.they work well and have thrown some good pups. Did anyone ever see Nuttals Miner working?if so was he a hard dog or sounder?
  21. I was at Punchestown myself on sunday. Was abit disappointed that they ran the terrier show and the hound shows at the same time and therefore people didn get a chance to see each class for hounds and terriers. Hopefully they will sort this for next year and maybe hold the show earlier in the year.
