it is sometimes difficult for a new dog to fit into a pack...there is a definite pecking order in a pack and sometimes a new dog will take a bit of time to find his feet... yes a rag on a rat already caught by one of the other dogs will probably help. the important thing is to keep him at it...all of a suddent it will all click into place and he will be away. atb

see if you can team up with someone else who uses their dog/s. it may help to give your dog an idea as to what to expect... keep taking him out after them and he will pick it up. having a rag of one that has been caught helps them sometimes... stick with it!! atb

just keep doing what you are already doing fella!! your pup will get the hang of it herself and once confident will suddenly surprise you one day and be the first in there. they can get intimidated/placed by older dogs about but just let her get involved in her own time.... atb and look forward to hearing more of her exploits!!

Not too bad a turn out for a small club and one that doesnt really concentrate on shows or showing. Some of the Severn Valley lads couldnt make it unfortunately and a few from the North East but otherwise well turned out. Majority of the dogs had seen work but not sure how many had seen earthwork, certainly there were a good few there that had! atb -

lol.... i know how you can get over a rifle, very sentimental things really!! i have given it a clean and have gotten a bluing touch up pen as there were some marks around the silencer washer at the rear...but they arent major. it is a smart rifle and puts the bullet where it is meant to go, even likes priv which is a thumbs up from me. yet to blood anything with it but have some stalking planned and am out fairly regularly with my mentor after the odd fox. how did you find it when you had it...were there any quirky things about it. for my first rifle i am well pleased and Mosa has certai
