I beg to differ about entering a dog all I have read on this thread sound good honest replys !! Out of what 10 people on thread 3 are not convinced have not written deerhound x's off The lads/ladies who have put there remarks up sound no different to each other all obvisely put game in front of there dogs and sound truthful of there experience !! So if you look at percentages 70% of deer greys are honest working dogs not to bad really like to see what other x's percentages are !! Now I have been following this thread for couple of days now and think people need honest view . I run a doxhope deer grey out of same litter as chartpolskis bitch and he ain't no world beater !! Quite frustrating really some nights bang on other nights will run a mile and not commit . I bought him for a certain job and done ok but seen better ie rockenhart ( mates dog ) and the pup I just bought in is out of pharcourse lines still deerhound but not so mass produced . There was a photo in last weeks cmw (that my wife has binned) of a fawn brindle lurch with a leather slip lead on can anyone on here put it up ? I'm after making the slip it looked solid and worth the try many thanks

Now I have 1st cross deer grey dogs and 3/4 bred for a while my dog of choice and bought a new pup 3 months ago and I have noticed he has a very high tail carrage almost rolls onto his back !!! Now I have never seen this in any of my other dogs ! Now do you think the breeder has lied to me and there are other in his make up or is this a freak ?

Problem is 5 1/2 month old pup eating my adult dogs stools ( I think ) now I walk and clean run every morning but when I get home from work there are signs of stools being eaten and a couple of times I have caught pup picking at stools why does this happen and how do I stop it . Pup is healthy and full of energy doing my head in
